NOTW XXIX: Hired Swords - Game Thread

Another day started for the Company. It was much like any other day; the Illian terrain was still harsh, and everything was still as white as snow. The day seemed to start well; since they had been on the move for a long time, the Illian heartlands slowly started to fall behind the men. From here on, the weather would get less harsh, and they would be able to move on a bit.
Tragedy had struck again though. The Ranger was found dead from a knife wound. He had evidently been murdered during the night. Nothing had been found that indicated the Ranger had anything to do with murders, so the men had to conclude that

Within the belongings of the late Spearfighter, a snake fang necklace was found; it would be voted upon during the day. Also, the Ranger carried with him a mithril sword which would be voted upon.
Heavy-hearted, the men went on their way. Nothing was going their way. And the mission had looked so easy just a week back...
The thread is open for posting again. Night falls in 60 hours!
Execution votes in bold, support votes in bold green, votes for the mithril sword in yellow, and votes for the snake fang necklace in red.

Hmm interesting, I say the weak should get the sword, to better defend themselves.

I don't have any weapons and my strength is pretty bad.
If the sword does indeed provide extra defense, I'd like it. However, if it is someone's goal to do something special with the sword, then they may claim it.

I vote ME to have the snake fang necklace. I'm a dragonslayer and i'm the rightful owner of any lizard related items.
I probably have better uses for it than all of you would have.
As for the Mithril Sword, I don't need it, but I don't trust much people with my vote yet. Someone will have to convince they should have it.

The Berseker slept a bit late and had only just caught up with the company
"So only one kill last night, seems as though someone was blocked or more likley that somone tried to attack and the target was protected. It is a shame that protection wasn't extended to our Ranger."
The gleam of the Mithril Sword caught the Berserkers eye. With his own weapons only good for hitting people on the head, a new sword would come in handy.
The Berserker then proceded to pull out two swords, that had clearly been rusted.
"So only one kill last night, seems as though someone was blocked or more likley that somone tried to attack and the target was protected. It is a shame that protection wasn't extended to our Ranger."

"Aye, I should show you all how to properly wield a weapon, Vote the sword to me, for as most of you know I will be able to increase it's power and find a appropriate home for it later."
The Berserker then proceded to pull out two swords, that had clearly been rusted.
"My own trusty blades. Together we slaughtered nigh on fifty Illian scum not more that 5 days ago. The deed as some of you witnessed and others I have recalled to, know was cut short buy a little weasel of an illian mage who cast a rust spell on me."
"I know not if they can be repaired, I fear that they cannot without finding a proper forge. Yet if anyone in the company can repair them i would be greatful, please vote these Rusted Swords to the appropriate person."
"As for the Snack Fang Necklace, let me ponder on it for a while, for I once knew a great slayer of orcs who had such an item, a Nature Mage he was."

Hmm a change is no problem in my eyes. You can not fight any lone wolf with these swords.

I've heard from all my kin except KingMorgan in extremely important matters in which I needed advice. Speak now BattleMage. I grow weary of being cold-shouldered and I will rescind my vote if you respond.
I believe that Sprig the Berserker(yellow is the worst color for items) would make the best use of the sword, he is also the most trustworthy and deserving of it.

Sprig can have the mithril sword if he can use it. I would like to examine the snake fang necklace however, as I may have a use for it, but I am unsure.

Sprig should carry the sword. There's not a whole lot of demand for the sword in question, and it's really no use having me carry it when it could be far more deadly in the hands of a stronger member of our group.
Nictel seems suspicious to me, why don't you state your reasons for wanting the sword? The others who made a claim on it gave reasons. I distrust anyone who isn't open about their intentions. Even if their reasons for wanting the item are lies, it at least forces them to lie, and lies tend to indicate guilt. I would like to hear reasons so I (and the others) can make an informed decision here.

"Oh dear oh dear oh dear. Seems we have really panicked now. Didn't want to give the impression of desperately wanting the sword. I merely thought it might be helpful in fending off any murderers. Sprig can have it of course! If he is better in protecting us with the sword then fine! I'm much better with a bow!
Also what have I done that would draw suspicion? I have been quietly following the group, was I too quiet? But those who talked a lot seemed to end up death in the morning. I was afraid this might happen to me! I am loyal to the company, even though I do not posses any special skills.
As for accusations, I have noticed something odd, well thank my good memory but Diamondeye received the red herbs but wasn't poisoned until the night after. If he was killed for the herbs wouldn't he have been killed right that night?
Now the morning after the day Diamondeye received the red herbs he informed everyone he needed another set of herbs to make the potion. Did he knew who had them? Or was it just coincidence that the Adept was the one holding the black herbs? (I assume these are the herbs DE needed, unless there are more herbs)
In the same morning we all hear that the Adept had black herbs, the Lizardman is poisoned! Another coincidence! Too many coincidences for me.
Now the vote tally for the red herbs was pretty close. There were definitely two forces at work and there were worries of who would receive the red herbs. In the end the Wizard won.

I'm not surprised you do not see where my accusation is going. It is also a problem because well it involves accusing those accusing me, a matter that is never really convincing. I will draw a conclusion, at the same time request that you realise I understand that innocents do work together as well.
But choxorn and askthepizzaguy you seem to agree a lot, working together with rhawn and TForge13.
See it's simple:
First you vote the red herbs to TForge13, it causes you some difficulty but in the end you win the vote. Then you try to 'hide' the fact that you work together, this fails however. Because rhawn votes for TForge13 but choxorn and askthepizzaguy vote for rhawn?!

Seriously ATPG, it is not smart to preform actions you talked about in previous NOTW. Pulling a fake discussion, you should have killed me before doing this. Such a shame CCRunner ain't in this game.)
Seon and Sprig, are you working together with them? From who did the guarantees of 'innocence' came? Who 'brought' you together? Think about it.
Ow all who I named think about this, I could be wrong in positioning you all. But the killers are among you.
In final proof last night: Sprig and choxorn defended the Dragonslayer, the oldest trick in the book. Defending someone you know is innocent to show your innocence later on.
