Postmortem on Mueller

Plus we're probably in a brief historical interrenegum between video existing and video ceasing to be any more inherently trustworthy than other methods of recording info

I'm not convinced of the supposed threat of all this "deep fake" stuff. Sounds like a convenient excuse for those "believe what I say, not what you see" types of politicians.

deepfakes are already NOW so good that they give experts a run for their money, so even today laypeople will be tricked. what makes you think that in 10 years this is not going to worsen?

Try telling him that people are already fooled by memes with little veracity to them, but im sure his immense brain allows him to instantly distinguish between the real and fake.

It's not about having an "immense brain" or not, it's about trusting your own senses over what other people tell you. So if I see a video with my own eyes, I'm going to take that at face value until I see something that proves otherwise.

In short, I trust myself more than I'll ever trust anyone else and that's a stance everyone should be taking in life.

You trust yourself, but are your older loved ones ready for deepfakes? That's my fear. That we're not properly inoculating Society

Photographic proof be dying as we coat every inch of society in cameras. Back to eyewitness testimony.

Deepfakes starts in porn because everything starts in porn. But eventually high def videos find their way into the mainstream. Oh wait, that happened. Herkin an jerkin leads the way!

I might sort of suck at animu but I did my best

Donald Trump is a pathetic senile old man who deserves to be impeached or at the very least indicted after he leaves office

Aaron Mate and Jimmy Dore on Mueller testimony

In his report Mueller said collusion and conspiracy were synonymous then he said they weren't yesterday. Mueller admitted they couldn't find evidence ('insufficient' lol) of either collusion or a conspiracy.

One of the many ironies in all this is the Democrats may have given Trump a shot at 2 terms with RussiaGate. Yeah, go ahead and impeach Trump.

In his report Mueller said collusion and conspiracy were synonymous

He actually said the opposite of this in the report.

Mueller said:
In evaluating whether evidence about collective action of multiple individuals constituted a crime, we applied the framework of conspiracy law, not the concept of "collusion. In so doing, the Office recognized that the word "collud[ e ]" was used in communications with the Acting Attorney General confirming certain aspects of the investigation's scope and that the term has frequently been invoked in public reporting about the investigation. But collusion is not a specific offense or theory of liability found in the United States Code, nor is it a term of art in federal criminal law. For those reasons, the Office's focus in analyzing questions of joint criminal liability was on conspiracy as defined in federal law.

until he got caught out...
when pointed out what was in the report ... he replied '' not when i read it''
look at the video again... @ 29..20 mark to 32.20
Mueller's testimony under oath... with commentary for the slow to understand
www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=403&v=WOQXOV0PHL4

then read page 180 of volume 1 of the Mueller report ... something mueller should have done
is lying under oath a crime...

Well, in the video Mueller himself is read his own quote from the report, which specifically says the two are "largely synonymous". And then he replies by saying "not when I read it", which is either gibberish or infers the version was changed (that would be more serious).
He comes across as not much in control of things, that much is obvious imo.
Also, not surprised Colbert didn't show this part. Hard to make a pro-Hillary joke from Mueller being a buffoon :shake:

Again the issue is that you don't choose ridiculous ways to take Trump out of power. The Russiagate thing is a non-issue, and was so from the start. Trump is an open racist/senile/ignorant/a clown and the establishment tries to take him down using the only made up negative story about him there is :/

Lex, in your quote Mueller said collusion is not the legal term they use in determining criminal liability, he does not say the 2 words are not synonymous.

but in the JD video starting at 29:00 Mueller does say they're synonymous in his report but says they're not synonymous in his testimony. Now I dont like JD constantly calling him a liar cuz I dont think Mueller knows whats up or down on some of this stuff, but he did get caught in a contradiction.

I dont have a transcript handy but on p180, v1 of the report Mueller says

"as defined in legal dictionaries collusion is largely synonymous with conspiracy as that crime is set forth in general conspiracy statute 18 USC 371"

I'm sure getting grilled for 7 hours straight might make you slip up every now an then.

Cant tell for sure, but Mueller came across much more like a very early dementia (lewy body type given his psychomotor activity) than trump ever has

What is it you are smoking and where can I get some?

Just a notion, but after a quick search, seems some people are making fun of him for this, i don't think it is a laughing matter
I mean, if we are going for strange behavior, not much beats #DenturesDonald slurring his way through the United Shashes.
