You win or lose on turn 400, based on score. Presumably you have the ability to play “just one more turn” but haven’t tested it (haven’t the patience to play that long, and haven’t tried it with setting the turn limit to, e.g., 10 turns).

The Score Victory is also turned off, so I guess the game will just end with no winner.

Just tested it with game set to 2-turn limit and all victories turned off. Went straight to defeat screen after turn 2, and the one more turn option was disabled/inactive.

1. In the last update, Corps and Army Gold purchase costs now take into account the 25% Production discount awarded by building the Military Academy. Does it hold true for Fleet and Armada purchase costs at Seaports?

2. So, do I understand correctly: Coal generates the most CO2 and Uranium - the least? (I mean primarily from units)
EDIT: The answer to question #2 is (as I've found out in-game): Yes.

OK, so if produced 66% of a wonder (let's say it was 1000 hammers).....those 1000 hammers carry over.
So I could choose to build a trader (1 turn) and STILL have hammers leftover for the following term?

Also, if I am building something, but then buy it (say a monument) do the hammers i put into it carry over?
??????

I'm trying to search for info regarding minimum amount of continents per map size, but can't find it.

Started a 1v1 on Duel map, Fractal with random Civs. Got England, only to find out the whole world is a single continent.

Is there a map type that guarantees 2 continents, even on duel size? Continents are important for lots of Civs, so this kind of sucks.

The Ottomans UA gives +4 Loyalty in cities taken from other civs.

Is that purely defensive like the Loyalty granted by certain Great Admirals? Or is it offensive as well?

Because it feels like the cities I've conquered have a greater capacity to flip other civs' cities than cities I founded myself. And correspondingly the cities I've flipped are flipping their neighbors. It's nearing Eleanor levels of flipping.

Can the Venetian Arsenal be built on top of a luxury? (Pearls in this case). I haven't built my Industrial zone yet and im about to place it. Hence I don't know about the wonder placement until the IZ is built.

More of a shower thought than a question... What would happen if Kupe (or anyone else, Kupe is just ever-so-slightly less unlikely) captured a city before founding one? Would it be two capitals in one? :D

Or None at all? Because the Fix first city name and the Palace building with its yields is only given when a settler is the selected unit, creating a city is now a valid action and this is initiated via hotKey or mouseClick IF the current city list is empty.
Conquering a city or subsequent city creations don't give the capital name and Palace privilege! :p

I'm having the most fun game I've ever had of Civ and potentially my first win on Emperor (this is the first Civ I've got into). However, I can't understand why I've lost the ability to create spies. I think I created 2 and no longer have any, but none of my cities can produce them any more. Any idea what's happened? The Civilopedia wasn't that helpful this time.

Have your spies been captured? You must buy them out from the AI, if this was the case. Captured spies still use up their slots, but are being held prisoners by the AIs who captured them.

Oh wow. that's cool. So how can I find out if that's the case and how can I see what my spy cap is? Is there a spy interface I don't know about?

There's always a notification when spying mission ends, you may have missed them. Apart from the dialogue box in the centre of the screen, there's also a notification icon on the right, for the spy capture it is an eye behind bars.
You can negotiate for release in the deal screen - where you trade for luxuries, strategics, open borders, etc. The spies are displayed at the very bottom, scroll down.
And yes, there's a spy interface with the cap, an eye icon top right of the screen, among the victory conditions, trade routes, era score, etc. icons

Even if your first spies were captured, you still get new spy slots by new technologies.

On a tangent to your spy convo but this may be the best place to ask.

I have a city, but it has a border 5 tiles away rather than the usual 3. Any idea why that might be? Playing as Victoria on Vanila (on the Switch) , I never used a Great Person that gains you tiles and I haven't knowingly done anything to gain tiles for that city. I can get screenshot but is a bit of a pain because its on the Switch so will do it on request.

Also, same game, it seems whenever I build a naval unit, I get two. Any thoughts on why. I've checked all my Suzereign bonuses and it's not one of those.

Thanks.
