This have probably been asked before.
When you build a district, you then have the opurtunity to assign 1-2 citizens to that square.
What do you gain by doing this? Extra great person points?
The city doesnt seem to this automaticly

You gain the type of yield from that district, i.e., science, faith, production. The city sometimes does it automatically. Just last night my capital put a citizen to work on my holy site.

Ok.
For me it seems more important the city focus on food and production for the growth. I wonder when it would be benefitial to focus on those squares?

I don't like not being able to save at certain times as I have to do it next turn and forget and then it is five hours later and my bladder is sore.
Hi,
You can follow this procedure to save each turn to your hard drive so that you can always roll back to whichever turn you like:

1) Go to C:\Users\{Your user name}\Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization VI
2) Edit the file 'UserOptions.txt'.
3) Look for the following lines
Code:
[Gameplay]
;Number of autosaves to keep
AutoSaveKeepCount 999

;Number of turns between autosaves
AutoSaveFrequency 1
Change them to 999 and 1 and save the file, when ask to overwrite, choose yes.
4) Restart CIV 6 and enjoy your game!

In my current game, I got this geography, spectacular!!

If I settle my next city between the alps, would I get any geographical bonus?

Is there anywhere developer's log where I can track release notes: changes and bugfixes? I searched the web but found nothing.

I believe that choice is a standard option in the option's menu.

Can someone please remind me how to stop the auto unit hopping? It was posted somewhere here, can't find it.

Go to Documents/My Games/Sid Meyer's Civilization VI, open the UserOptions.txt and find the line that says ;Does the selection auto cycle to the next available unit? (0 = no, 1 = yes) AutoUnitCycle 1 and change the 1 to a 0.

How do I show the map when I retire?

Can someone explain culture victory?

It appears it is backwards from civ5. While culture wins you the game and tourism stops the other players from winning?

To win by culture, you need to have more foreign tourists than the highest player's domestic tourists (including yourself)

There are entire threads in S&T devoted to what creates both domestic & foreign tourists.

Culture doesn't have a direct bonus; however many of the things providing increase to tourists are found in the civic tree; so faster progress thru it would help.

Anyone else know how this occurs? The glitch and explanation starts around 2:45. I'm talking about the leader change glitch, not the de-sync part.

So I can save as many as 999 turns correct?

I don't think its limited to 999. I suspect Baba Yetu VI just suggested that number since a standard speed game is only 500 turns, so 999 would be more than enough saves, even if you play on into "one more turn" time.

I'm not playing with barbarian camps, but I notice that Rome, my neighbor, was, of late, having some problems with some barbarian musketmen running amok. How did this happen?
