Sorry if it is already been asked but, does anyone know how the cost increase of GP works? How does it scale? I suppose it depends on the speed selected for the game but what it is the increase proportion between for example the 3rd and the 4th and does it change between classes of GP?

Thanks in advance.

The cost of a Great Person depends on the era the Great Person is from, which in turn depends on the game era. Additionally, the first Great Person of a type in it's era is more expensive (I believe like 25% or something, don't know the exact number).

1. Is there any information in the game saying if other players have nukes?
2. If no, then do we get notification if other player completed Manhattan or Ivy project? Is it related to diplo level?
3. Is there any way to know if another player launched an inqusition? I mean, other than seeing his inquisitors?

1,2: I believe you get a gossip notification with sufficient diplo level. Other than that, I don't believe there's anything. Maybe, on top secret, you get gossip when a build project is completed.
3: Again, I believe you get gossip with sufficient diplo level, but nothing else.

When trading gold
- if you click on lump sum it adds 100 to the trade
- if you click on GPT it adds 10 GPT to the trade
- using the +/- modifies the sum by 1

For the most part I can play the game with only my mouse. But then here comes this part where I almost always need to use my keyboard to repeatedly input values...

If there a way to modify the on click gold or GPT values? (some XML parameter)
Or the +/- value.

I would probably set lump to 10 gold. GPT to 1 gold. And +/- to 100.

Not that I know of, but maybe someone else does. (if anyone else even checks this thread... I often feel like I'm the only one answering questions here)

To add about GP cost.
There are normally 3 GP per era per type. (exceptions: 4 to 5 writers, 4 artists, 5 musicians)
If all of them get recruited in their era, the game switches to the next era set, but with increased cost.
The cost goes back to normal if the game era advances. (only for new GP)

This is to prevent running out of GP of a given type too fast.

Here's my data so far for epic speed

Code:
era cost inflated
classical 90 ?
medieval 180 230
renaissance 360 465
industrial 630 815
modern 990 1285
atomic ? 1870
information ? ?

Ah so it's (on standard speed):

Classical: 60
Medieval: 60+60=120
Renaissance: 120+120=240
Industrial: 240+180=420
Modern: 420+240=660
Atomic: 660+300=960
Information: 960+360=1320

And the inflated cost is 30% more, rounded down to the first number that ends in a 0 or 5.

Fun tidbit

If you try to recruit a great person from 2 ages in the future the cost is +155% (1 age in the future seems to be +27%)

Albert Einstein costs 2530 instead of the normal epic speed 990 GP :D

How exactly moving GG works?
Suppose, Sun Tzu was in Sparta and moved to Argos at the beginning of the turn, Will units around Argos get the combat bonus at this turn?
Suppose, he waited until Sparta units did some attacking and only then moved to Argos. Will Argos units get the bonus in this case?
If not, will they get the bonus during next turn of opponent?

When attacking, units get +5 combat if a general is within 2 tiles.
Attack around Argos, move the general to Sparta, attack around Sparta, defend in Sparta. All work.

The move bonus is only applied to units at the start of the turn.

Ok, tnx.
A couple more questions.
1) If I don't promote a combat unit but keep attacking with it instead, does it still receiving experience? Or no new experience until performing next level?
2) Monty just said me he denounced for "having his city occupied". Could he mean Kabut I took from him and liberated immedeately? Or Malinoku I took from him, lost to loyaly issues soon enough and then it rejoined him? Or Mapu something I took from Lautaro just a turn before? I definitely don't have or had any other cities not founded by myself.

No xp is earned until you promote. But sometimes it's worth holding on to the promotion just for the healing.

As for Monty, it sounds like a bug to me. It's probably related to Malinoku.

Ok. I suppose when somebody raised Antananarivo in previous game, it was a bug also. Very rare bug, I'd say?
But why all my catapults can attack after moving, without any promotions? I am quite sure it isn't unique Greek power and no city state gives that.

Are they near a Great General giving them extra movement?

I'm guessing the unit needs 2 movement to attack.
Similar to how you need 3 movement to cross a river, embark or pillage.

Neat feature, but should be fixed.

Spain has Inquisitors with 7 charges. How is that possible? Gov: Theocracy, none of the slotted policies affect inquisitors. They have Hagia and Mahabodhi.

I once encountered a strange bug where, in the two turns after building, my builder gained two extra charges in each of them. Perhaps it's related?
