A year ago I was playing Medieval 2: Total War with the internet running in the background, and a voice suddenly began explaining that runaway inflation was going to destroy America. For a few minutes, I was too focused on the game even to turn it off. Around the part where he described how it was responsible for the fall of Britain as a global power I realized that playing alongside it was very relaxing. Perhaps it was the stimulation of a human voice without the distraction of having to pay attention.

My gamble paid off! Yesterday I told my professor I had forgotten to bring to class an assignment I hadnt even started, and asked him if he would be around in the afternoon.
He told me to leave it in his mailbox, so I reasoned that since he lives out of town, he would pick it up this morning at the earliest. It so happens that I had class at 8 AM, so I actually did research in the afternoon, wrotr it in the night and throw it in before going to class. I saw him with it in his hands a few hours later.

Rave: My group of friends and I have a Pathfinder campaign going. Long story short, the entire party but me died fighting a dragon. My merc character took it down without a scratch by keeping at a safe distance and shooting it with a crossbow, then severed its head, seized the cave full of fantastic loot, and used his new authority and wealth to launch a bloodless coup against the extremely unpopular local king and usurp his throne. My friends are creating new characters, and this new-ish campaign will center around them serving me in my new kingdom.
