Regeneration In Process
Here are some orders that never got used BECAUSE OF AN EVIL MEGALOMANIACAL (sic, though its not a typo but rather a funny thing to capitalize rantiously) ORIENTAL URSOID!!!
Anyway, here are some more of my orders:

Ordres Domestique et Espionage said:Domestic Orders:
- I have decided to continue with the roughly-OTL domestic political developments for one more turn; things will diverge sharply after this update, but not yet. So - intensify the Terror, slaughter the far left (NOT including Citoyen F., but mostly because he's too far away for reach and too evasive) and the far right alike, foster theism, then push everything too far and be overthrown in a Thermidor-analogue, prefferably late in the year. The new government will exercise more caution and moderation as far as killing go, but at the same time indulge in corruption and decadence. Really, more on all that later, but you get the idea. I doubt that there are any reasons for things to be very different domestically so far.
- In any case, during the Terror requisition goods and wealth from the rich in large amounts, in fact intimidate them into voluntarily "contributing" to our war effort, to assist our logistics and, if we look far and deep enough, even raise our eco. temporarily. Oh, and kill everyone who tries to hide wealth from us for greed.
- Sacrifice one economy level.
- Raise 60 more divisions (-12 eco. points).
- 3 eco. points into army training, to maintain it.
- 1 eco. point into logistics, but I largely hope for the requisitions to work.
- Keep on conscripting. Quell any resistance as usual. We have a war on all our borders to win.
- Levy militias as may be necessary (as usual - in regions threatened by invaders or Royalists).
Diplomatic Orders:
- Affirm our alliance with Bavaria.
- Sign an alliance with Poland.
- Sign an alliance with Portugal.
- Sign NAPs with Portugal and Naples.
- If I order an attack on someone we're not at war at and do NOT specifically say NOT to attack him if we are NOT at war, then just declare war for conspiring against the Republic. You know its true.
Espionage Orders:
- Just... do what we did last turn. You know, counterintelligence, military intellegence, encouragement of anti-war sentiments in Britain, inciting revolts (incidentally, no longer incite revolts in the Kingdom of Naples even if we did do that earlier; but continue in the rest of Italy), you get the idea.
- Make sure to concentrate on military intelligence, one can never overemphasize the importance of knowing, even vaguely, what your enemy is doing (adjust our plans in accordance with the information gathered, if needed).
- Keep sending weapons and advisors to Poles and Marathas, and also send them to Bavarians and to Batavian rebels, and any other rebels that... rebel against our enemies.
- Try to assassinate Royalist leaders, we need to root out their insurrection altogether.
- Incite a revolution in Spain. The country is rather impoverished and ruled by unpopular corrupt incompetents. As Spain is being defeated in a war, a revolution is quite likely. Capulet may try to introduce some reforms, but in the desperate situation I hope to place him in he is unlikely to be able to carry anything out. If anything, it is more likely to add to the panic and make things more difficult for him.
- Foster pro-French, revolutionary feelings in the Swiss Confederation.
Ordres Militaire said:Military Orders:
- Same as before with the squadrons (if you deleted the old orders and don't remember, tell me). If possible, work with the Portuguese against the Spanish.
- Keep comissioning those privateers. We especially want to hurt the British trade and supply routes badly - try to coordinate a massive privateer assault for maximum damage on the British commerce and their logistics in Flanders (note that I am not sure if Britain declared war on us, but attack them anyway and say that this is for Netherlands and their evident attempts to attack us from there).
- 2 divisions are to guard Normandy and the cities there; 2 divisions, Gascony; 2 divisions, Paris itself and the immediate surroundings. Be ready to ward off enemy attacks; prepare defenses in good positions, set up redoubts outside and barricades within the cities, position the artillery for maximum damage.
- 5 divisions and local militias are to continue our counterinsurgency campaign - ruthlessly eliminate the Royalist resistance as we had done it before. After the victory, use these troops as a defensive reserve if we're invaded or a new rebellion begins, especially in Vendee. Depopulate Vendee altogether if they keep rebelling and send people from there to build various redoubts and other fortifications, make sure they don't sabotage anything though.
- 10 divisions are to form a strategic reserve; these fresh troops shall be deployed to wherever we may need them, whether to help us exploit a victory, consolidate our gains, cover our retreat or check an enemy advance.
- 30 divisions, 10 conscript divisions are to proceed with our invasion of Spain. 10 of these divisions and 10 conscript divisions shall launch a new invasion, actually, occupying Navarre and the key trans-Pyrenean route there before the enemy can stop us and then advance rapidly through Basconia (promise the Basques independence and try to recruit their support) and to Madrid. We will probably be repulsed there; retreat in good order, take up positions and generally distract the enemy in the region, hopefully the threat to their capital will cause some confusion amongst the Spanish. Meanwhile, 20 divisions, 10 conscript divisions shall rapidly cross the Ebro, separate five divisions to secure Valencia and fake an offensive towards Seville to further confuse and frihgten our foes, while the main force will march on for Madrid from the east. Later attack Madrid from the north AND the east, and possibly with some diversionary attacks from other directions if they are not guarded properly. If beaten back, continue to threaten Madrid and secure some positions around it, and try again a while later. If victorious, imprison the royal family (don't kill them yet), guillotine Godoy and proclaim the provisional Hispannic Republic. Incidentally, the Portuguese should also attack Spain; cooperate with them, but be ready for their betrayal.
- 30 divisions are to proceed with the invasion of Italy. Savoyards are weak, they shall be swept aside easily. 10 divisions are to attack the small Central Italian states and Tuscany. I doubt we will encounter any serious resistance there; set up the Etrurian Republic. Engage the Papal troops then and prevent them from making serious contributions to the war effort; if the Pope's forces are weak enough, attack and try to crush him to set up a Roman Republic. Note, try to avoid clashes with the Neapolitanians, even if they capture Rome. Meanwhile, the other 20 divisions are to swiftly occupy Milan, and assault Mantua before the Austrians and Venetians can prepare its defenses. Attack towards Tyrolia with 10 divisions, hopefully link up with the Bavarians there, and try to capture the strategic Alpine routes, thus cutting off Austrian supplies and reinforcements. After the passes are secure, most of this main force is to crush the Austrians in Terra Firma and force the surrender of Venice (try to organize a republican coup d'etat there if it doesn't surrender). In any case, set up the Cisalpine Republic.
- 10 divisions are to invade Baden and Wurttemburg and quickly move to link up with the Bavarians. Generally help them defend against the Austrian onslaught, if need appears try to occupy Tyrolia and, if our forces in Italy are doing badly, attack through there to surprsie and rout the Austrians. But generally work with the Bavarians.
- 20 divisions to occupy the Rhine Palatinate. 10 divisions are to march northwards along the western bank of the Rhine, severe the Austrian supply and reinforcement routes and then crush them. Other 10 divisions are to attack Prussian Westphalia and try to occupy there, setting up a defensive position there. If forced to retreat, burn their trade center and stage an orderly fighting retreat. If we hold on to this position AND the Army of the Netherlands invades Holland (see below), the Army of the Rhine is to a) give it flank cover on the Rhine with 10 divisions that stayed on the western side before this and b) attack British-occupied Netherlands from the east with the other 10 divisions. Be wary of the Prussians.
- 10 divisions, 10 conscript divisions are to press on in Austrian Netherlands. Don't let the enemy recover from our past onslaught and/or defeat the Belgian rebels; attack as soon as possible in the territories threatened by the rebels, and work with them to outmaneuver and isolate, and with luck/time crush the Austrian forces around the three great cities (even if this fails, our later attack - with the help of the Rhenish forces - should work). Set up defenses on the Rhine to keep the Prussians out or at least maximize their casualties during a potential crossing. Also prepare to defend against the Brits in Holland. If we're relatively safe and the Batavians are still fighting, try to invade the Netherlands to push the British out of there in coordination with more uprisings. Or at least secure some positions there and make things difficult for the British occupiers; maybe we will force them to withdraw, if they begin to do so attack using the confusion.
- Distribute all new conscript divisions about evenly between all our attacking forces.
- Generally act quickly and do not let the enemy recover, reorganize or even begin to organize any sort of resistance; and if any resistance is organized, try to break it quickly. Keep the pressure on the enemy at all times - even if we cannot attack, bombard them with artillery and harass them with cavalry. Always try to get the enemy off their balance and crush him then.
- Employ tirailleurs to, amongst other things, avoid enemy traps and scout out any cunning enemy maneuvers. In general, be ready for various tricks - flank attacks, fake retreats, who knows what the enemy might use...
- Utilize our vast numbers - but not dumbly. Numerical advantage grants us the ability to outmaneuver the enemy much better, remember that; it also allows us to intercept enemy maneuvers with extra troops.
- If beaten back, try to organize defenses in the pre-scouted natural defensive positions, but be flexible and ready to fight back enemy flank attacks.
- But generally, tactics up to generals as usual. Promote and encourage the most competent of them. By now the war should have revealed some of the rising-star generals that would never have gotten far in peacetime, or even in a war under the monarchy.
