No, the real reason i've been missing from the forums is my school work. I dont know if i told u guys, but i want to go to the USAFA. ive been planning and working a lot to get there. I recently made it into the summer seminar there so the pressure has been released from my shoulders. I can now juggle modding as well as school. recenlty started on the intro BINK movie. Don't know how i will upload in though, bout 20 MB, and i have dial up...

Well, im back, is that SLAVe I still needed?;)

The United States Air Force Academy, a university run by the USAF (bet you can guess that acronym). It is fairly prestigious as an academic university, though not on the same page as MIT, etc... but in the top 10-20% of universities for academics. And, it is a way to kick start a military career to those seeking to serve in the USAF. There is also WestPoint for the army and the Naval academy for the Navy and USMC.

Actually it IS possible for us to have civ-specific music. Some of the music in the regular game is culture specific so if we make all 4 civs belong to different cultures they can have different muzik. :)

Sorry if I haven't been around lately, I'm a little how you say. . . distracted. . . [cough] Empire at War [cough] Nintendo DS [cough]. . . I must be coming down with a cold. :mischief: :satan:

@Chris85: I just looked up what you said and you were right about the culture music thing.:D

Well, I tried finiding music in my C drive of Galactic Battlegrounds, Battlefront II and KotOR, but I can't find the GB music, KotOR music won't play in Windows Media Player, and BFII's is coded somehow. Anyone find anything?

i found GB music: \Program Files\LucasArts\Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds Saga\Game\Sound\Stream

BattleFront 2:

don;t know, but i am sure there is a freeware progrma that dissasembles the code and allows you to convert it

KOTOR:
There is a program called Miles sound studio www.radgametools.com/mssdown.htm

The format the sound files are in is WAVE II. Thats why it wont play. WHat you need to do is convert it to regular WAV. downlaod Miles Studio then you can play the sound from there, then decompress it. Miles converts it to a WAV file which can then be played in all the players.

I have the galactic battlegrounds music.

But whats really pathetic is that i have it on my ipod...

So if anyone wants it ill be more than happy to send it to you. I was able to get it on mp3 format so it will work on basically everything.

You all make good points. I personally believe we should OFFICIALLY leave the topic up to the individual person until we get official conformation on the whole music thing. And remember, i am talking OFFICIALLY:mischief:.

But anyway until we know more I think it is a good thing to discuss cause for a mod we need everyones ideas.

@Odin - I too have all of my favorite Star Wars songs on my Ipod, plus Led Zeppelin, Lord of the Rings, AC/DC, Nirvana, and Enya.:D

I have all the soundtracks from the 4 proper films, and eipsodes 1 & 2...

The problem is with the music that if we distribute it in the mod, and someone else grabs the full track, then they could possibly sell it, and since this is copyrighted stuff, that isnt allowed... i think...

as long as the music is not for commercial purposes then it is fine. Maybe we should include a disclaimer or some sort of document that prohibits the selling of the tracks. i could include it in my intro movie if one was to give me the disclaimer.
