Possibly; it's a guy who defines themselves as a socialist, but spends theirm time quaffing champagne in tuxedos.
OK cool. I can use that one on Holly now. She was bummed we didn't go this year. She liked talking to you and Furiey over dinner. I'm not sure why. :p

We pointed out that calling yourself a socialist was incompatible with voting for New Labour as well.

There was some agreement that Alec Salmond was the best Party leader around, although the call of 'Boris for President' was controversial.

Photos! :hammer:
Especiallythe Sean Connery one!

I forgot about that

Spend the bulk of the next two hours after leaving the tubes getting lost. I recognized where I was, but not how to get back to the flat I'm staying at. Made it at about 2 in the morning, before discovering the bed was already made up for me. I simply collapsed for the rest of the morning.

Fun evening :goodjob:

I got your bloody obnoxious text on the bus back, which was a great end to the evening! :D

I'm back ! :)

Well, this was a great day and a good weekend overall, I'm glad I came. :D Getting beer after beer after beer while squatting this pub was fun, and remember : London is this giant pub where you meet Europe.

One day you gotta tell me what the hell we talked about yesterday, it's blurry, yes, very blurry. :crazyeye: I saw pirates, I saw Sean Connery, and I saw Admiral Nelson on top of a column in a same day, that can't be real !

Big thanks goes to Meli, who waited for me at Waterloo on Saturday morning (that and you being a very nice dude).
Double thanks goes to Furiey, who gave a sleeping place for the night, in that absolutely-freezing English countryside. Very appreciated, and glad to have talked a bit about this and that. :goodjob:
Thanks to all for being there, for bringing your joy and your sense of humour, this made the trip worth living.
Also I'd like to thanks my dog and my English teacher in college, and... [damnit, another beer please]

Hope to see some of you pretty, pretty soon in this other strange country. Pics will come soon.

And now for another post so as to answer a bit of what has been said.

An excellent time, Sophie is still here with me, Krys has just caught the train down to Waterloo to get back to France.
Found my way down the tube without any problem, and got the Eurostar weeell on time. Just to stumble upon the (partially) train strike in Paris, again (no biggie).

meanwhile here's a taster.
Mmmh, SPAM !! :goodjob: I loled when I saw this thing.

On balance, Furiey, I think this validates the conclusion that it was better you having both Krys and Sophie, as offering them a bed and then only giving them a comfy chair in a meeting room would not have been terribly hospitable of me....
Ouch, feeling bad for you. And thanks for the offer anyway, next time we'll all do better (me for a start). :)

man I can't believe that krys looks like this...I always thought he looks like philisopher nerd, must be his avatar
he looks good though...
Step back ! What, I don't look like I can do philosophy is what you're trying to say ? ;) Anyway, this avatar is trying to represent something in the inside...

[awful story]
Dude, I hope you're OK now. Feeling even worse for you, after we left you completely excited (pics to come ;) ). **** happens, but hopefully not everyday...

So what'd you all talk about? Footie? The Soviet Military complex? Girls on buses? Beer? Stapel's orange outfit? Meli with short hair?
I think we even talked a bit about specific posters, since we can't do that at CFC. :D

At some point someone asked "when was the last time you actually played Civ?"

A: just fired it up :)

I'm not sure if I'll get many more pics up tonight, so just to tease you a little further, here's the last pic I took - the "Sean Connery one"

The discarded Tesco's bag really makes that photo.

[to all :] This photo can be misleading : though somewhat calm there, you gotta know how Kan greeted us (at least me) good night, leaving no doubt about his state. :p

Me and Kan took the same tube out of Leicester Square, and we played a very loud game of Mornington Crescent in the station and on the tube.

About a quarter of an hour after we'd parted and I was on the bus, I got a text: "Mornington Crescent!"

The meet up was fun!:)

Was good to see people from last year again and meet new people!:)

Thanks to everyone for a fun day!

Me and Eleck ended up with my friend in a pub till 2am....I was very battered by the time I got back to her house!

Truth be told, I was just trying to cop a feel from you :mischief:

I think I came out rather well in the Sean Connery pic. At least when next to NonCon :p

Ah. I don't "define" myself as anything much, don't own a tuxedo, and only drink champagne when politeness prevents me from asking for something else (it can give me pretty lousy heartburn). I plead guilty on all other counts, however. (What were they again ?)

Calm down, sir, we jest!

And I eventually managed to explain to the Dutch exactly what a "Lambert Simnel" was....

You mean, trying to get a smile or something ? Mmmh, my electro-cardiogram was already flat by then. :mischief: Too much drinking after a long day and so little sleep the night before...

Might as well do a late session for me then. In French ? Ack, mods won't be happy.

I forgot to add : Anyone stepping down (since you're all up, especially Kan) to Paris is welcome to knock on my door, once I have my own comfy home. I'll make sure to spot nice places to get to beforehand (either beer or wine). :)
