Unit Lottery

I'd like to request one of the demons from Dungeons & Dragons. I can't remember the name, but it's a multi-armed serpent woman. I'll get the name and description (and a drawing) for you if I win.:)

I would love to see a Deep One :)

I decided to do 3 picks, since I probably won't do another one of these for a while. But it's interesting to do units outside my possible comfort zone; plus I'll probably learn a few new things.

First Pick: #44
Second Pick: #18
Third Pick: #31

Those will be the winners, I will do them as the numbers were picked. First (Gold) will be first, second (Silver) will be done second, third (Bronze) will be done third.

Thanks for playing! Hats off to the winners! :hatsoff:

I have an excelent OHP model you can use.

The ratha has been in so many competitions and lost, maybe it's become a jinx! It's nice to see Kyriakos have something made for him rather than the other way round.

Hopefully it won't be too terribly long. you've proven your ability to make unusual units. Looks like even your "conversions" have turned into just another source for base models - not that much different than using the paperdoll. You'll probably reach the limits of your tools before you find the limits of your talent. The only observable limitation on your skills is experience. Since you're constantly pushing the envelope on that it's just a limitation, not a limit.

Seconded.

Don't we allready have a Oliver Hazard Perry-class Frigate ?

But the ratha doesn't have a steam engine… wait, is that why we're not rendering it?

Wow, I can't believe I'm one of the winners. Thanks Tom, you rock. Glad you went for 3 winners. Looking forward to seeing the Deep one too.

I guess I have some time as I'm not the first so I'll let you know what I was thinking for the elf lord in more detail, maybe try and find some pics. It's pretty open though. Main thing is he should look cool and elf-like and be riding a horse. Magic attack anim of some kind would be a great extra though not esscential.

Yes, I made it, many years ago. It's quite terrible too.

Wow: it looks I got bronze medal :trophy3rd:.
Thanks !

I know there is already a OH Perry around. It was made by Wyrmshadow long time ago as part of bunch of very interesting modern ships. You should have a look at stormoverciv for them.
Unfortunately some of these are quite old and cannot be paired very well with later top-quality ship models. I do not know whether these old units will be ever “re-manufactured” as other old Wyrm’s creations. So I asked for a new OH Perry to fill the gap for a modern western frigate-sized ship.
Thanks also to Wyrmshadow for offering his model.

I'm pretty stoked about the OH Perry winning in that you can never have enough naval units, at least in my opinion, and how ubiquities they are the world over. As for the other two I’m rather indifferent one way or the other and they are totally outside my range of interests, different strokes for different folks I say. That said I’m sure they’ll all be cool and congrats to the winners.
