It's also interesting to see posters who claim they're done with a topic, or cause, while at the same time - often in the same post - raising that same issue but from another viewpoint.
Anyone who talks about the "radical left", for example, isn't done with identity politics. They're espousing reactionary labels that only make sense in the culture "war" of said identity politics.
The Democratic Party of the United States is not, "the Left," (it's leadership and Establishment is Centrist to Centre-Right, ironically, and it's Left-Wing branch is used as a mascot, for show, but marginalized in meaningful, large-scale decision-making, and has never nominated a Presidential or Vice-Presidential candidate), and the Republican Party of the United States is not "THE Right." They are two of hundreds-of-thousands of active and registered political parties in the world today, and their platforms and ideologies are narrowing over time (making the rigged two-party system more and more of a betrayal of the voters - from the high crime it was in the first place), and even within the U.S. proper, the Green Party, the Peace and Justice Party, and the Party of Socialism and Democracy are to the Left of the Democratic Party, and the Libertarian Party and Constitution Party are to the Right of the Republican Party, and the Delta Party and Alliance Party have some very good, well-thought-out, level-headed Centrist ideas - but since all Third Party and Independent candidates are institutionally marginalized through electoral malfeasance and rigging just like the opposition parties in Zimbabwe and Russia (no higher ground or more respect for "democracy," than that, either), all Americans hear about are the crooks, criminals, murderers, liars, thieves, and traitors put up by the Duopoly. But, the use of terms, "the Left," for the Democrats, and "the Right," for Republicans gives the illusion, façade, and mirage of them being ideological transcendent over all other political parties, not just in the U.S., but in the world, and that each actually embraces a whole half of the entire political spectrum. Like the hoodwink of terms. A real clever and simple twist of shameless propaganda.
