You're only proving my point that solving climate change through plants is pointless. If it takes millions of years then it's untenable.

Biden is just going to tax all through the roof for dreams of fairy tech.

I'm sorry I've been reading this garbage here and there for pages now and WTH is this take? Is your stance basically we are all forked and thus we should not do anything but continue to make the situation worse and worse and fudge em all that have to deal with the inevitable ramifications?

Solar is real
Wind is real
Nuclear is real
Hydro is real
Geothermal is real

"taxes through the roof" is largely responsible for every bit of fairy tech that makes your life so wonderful today. gtfo of here with this garbage.

Please flesh out your argument OneJ. Please tell us how the guy who cooperated in getting America out of the worst crisis in decades is less competent than the guy who propelled you gleefully in to one. Please? It will entertain me. I love to be entertained, so use that power of love
Thanks!
Sure. Biden did not cooperate in the Obama administration. like most VPs he was a spectator with a good seat. In 47 years of Washington, he has nothing of note to his name. He is a boot licking toady who was a reliable party vote. At no point in his career is there any sign of a decision maker, which makes him incompetent to do the job as Chief Executive.

No one can reasonable argue that Trump is incompetent, because the results are too impressive. QED

How can hate have won when trump lost lol
Are you seriously arguing that anyone loves Biden or that they don't hate Trump? Listen to Whitlock's video. Trump's people love him because he fights for them, he stands up to the bully and he never gives up. I understand you find loving Trump incomprehensible, but 50+ million people do.

Yes, he fights for them against the other 250 million people in a viscous and cutthroat manner that has further alienate a populace from itself in a dramatic way so much so that vast amounts of right wingers believe. . .

This election was stolen
Covid is not a problem
This economy is great for everyone
Racism is solved
Socialists are trying to take over America
Child sex trafficking is right around every corner
Regulation is the root of all businesses ills
The earth is flat. . .

Oh wait that last one is still just a subset of the GOP voter base.

I'd just like to mention that I love that game.
I play it a lot.....Come play some time. Let me know your character name and I'll look for you in game.

I turned off the news on Tuesday night and mostly ignored it all until Thursday. Such good news while I was "away".

e.g.
Worst covid in the world.
Global warming unabated.
started & lost trade war with China
After the Kurds defeated ISIS, took credit for their win and then abandoned them to the fury of the Turks
Failed to build his promised wall and failed to impose a ban on all Muslims
Smaller job growth than under Obama, then crashed the market
Stirred up racial violence
Told more lies that all other Presidents total.
Remained silents when Putin put a bounty on US troops in Afghanistan
Restarted Iranian development of nuclear weapons
Increased pollution
Deprived millions of Americans of their health coverage
Violated the Emoluments Clause by doing private deals with foreign dignitaries.

Blew the national debt out.

No one wants to be the network that goes first and then has to retract it as more votes come in.
In addition, most networks have reservations about Biden in AZ and no one is sure how the big batch of provisional ballots in PA will break. Ditto with military and expat votes in GA that have not been counted.

Solar is real
Wind is real
I honestly want to see more efficient ways to harness and store electricity generated from solar and wind since not every place on the globe has a decent solar and wind output and are subjected to seasons and weather. Solar and wind, IMO, are only suitable for peak load power plants and can't be used as a substitute for base load power plants like coal and nuclear power. Ideally, I'd like to see a solar collector in space that efficiently collect the sun's energy from space and beam it down to Earth (Calm down SimCity 2000 fans :p). Likely a first step on the way to create a Dyson swarm on our sun far in the future.

I do want to see an eventual weaning off of fossil fuels instead of going cold turkey. I'd like to see incentives in place to encourage the development of efficient green technologies that gives you more bang for your buck, cost-effective, powerful, efficient, and be on a competitive level of fossil fuels.

Nuclear is real
Hydro is real
Geothermal is real.
I'm surprised there's no push for building more nuclear power plants, especially more modern designs that are more safe and utalize other fuels like thorium and away from uranium and plutonium to minimize nuclear weapon proliferation.

I'm iffy on geothermal since that's dependent on the activity underneath our feet and the presence of magma pools (Yellowstone comes to mind). Unless there's a base load geothermal power plant technology that can be placed anywhere that I don't know about.

I thought I read that the 8500 or so military ballots are simply 8500 requested, but not necessarily filled out, and that they need to be received today. For all we know, there could be 300, so hopefully it gets called quickly.... although I'm not sure if Saturday during the midst of drinking is a great time to lay that news out.

In 50 years from now Trump will be the POTUS who screwed up Climate actions.
Perhaps a statue is appropiate in the middle of some scorched area in the US.

It takes millions of years to turn plants into oil. It doesn’t take millions of years for plants to start taking CO2 out of the atmosphere. Plant a few million trees and that’s...I dunno... a lot of CO2 taken out over the lifetime of those trees. It may not be the cure for global warming by itself but it can be a part of it. Plus it’s really cheap and easy to do. There is really little downside and a whole lot of upside.

Correct and correct. But if it is 9000, well the networks are just nervous because it theoretically could tilt things.

In PA, the provisional ballots are at least 100k. So far, the few counties that have counted theirs were seeing results that exactly mirrored the non-provisional ballots. This will not be enough for Trump, but because no blue or purple counties have counted theirs yet, we cannot be sure of the trend.

Or 2 feet from the shoreline in Florida. It'll be underwater with half the state soon enough.

So here's a question for our worldly friends... You've seen a few of us Americans attempting to reconcile a bit in this thread... What are the chances Biden can restore our standing on the world stage and we can go back to being better friends internationally? Is it likely? How much damage was done?

So base load battery storage for wind and solar is already becoming a reality Tesla has proto capacitor plants placed in australia and now Puerto Rico. Its not fudgin fairy tech as posed earlier. It is a stepping stone though, but that brings me to the next point. We have been weening ourselves off of fossil fuels for a long time. Wood burning is novelty. Coal is defunct at this point. Oil is rapidly disappearing. Everything new has been NG for some time. The point of fracking was to do that and get us to where we are now. Build out solar, wind, hydro, and geothermal where feasible and nuclear where they are not. Start right forking now! It will take ten years to make real progress.

My point was his take is and will forever be fatalist garbage.
