2020 US Election (Part One)

Man, this DNC rigging is really 3rd world level. But I don't mean Iowa itself - despite it being a colossal disaster. I mean the timing (with the added delay) of the impeachment charade. I do wonder if it is worth ruining whatever reputation you have as an organization (DNC) just to make Iowa caucus this laughable.
Bern won't even get the time to make a victory speech. Welcome to Uganda.

It is also disgusting that this rigging or gross incompetence allowed all the dem losers (Warren/Klob/Bide, soon also Butty) to make generic speeches as if they didn't lose the caucus.
If you can't even run an election, WTH is the point?

I find this an over simplification and a refusal to accept culpability for ignorance. If the conservative cultural ideals actually served to help these desires at all I's be more sympathetic to your point. the reality is though that the Bible Belt leads in teen pregnancy and ignorance of sexual education leads one to more victimization not less.

I did not say conservatism was the best approach in all situations. Which is the crux of your point: efficacy. My observation has nothing to do with the efficacy of your(or my) estimation of public policy and everything to do with "not understanding" where they're coming from. They're way more conservative on the whole than their male peers. With damn good reasons too, your estimation of their ignorance aside.

You want to call them dumb? Jesus man, just call them dumb and get the eff to it.

Edit: or hell, take the less contentious approach. If you think the observation is incorrect, either in premise or reasoning, take issue with the accuracy of the observation - not an editorial. It's an attempt to understand first. Swaying and "culpability" come later.

To be fair America doesn't have presidential elections, we have a 4 year long racist, money driven reality TV show. None of this can be confused with an election.

They had already suppressed the last polls. Otherwise any rigging would be too notorious. I've been suspecting polls for a long time, and more suspicious still after that move. No evidence yet though.

But the delays are positive news. It can mean that whatever was prepared turned out to be insufficient. Hence the running around like headless chicken.

It's a caucus. In the era of slick internet despots, consider the chaos as a sign of legitimacy. You know, at least comparatively. Scripts read well. Legitimacy could use an editor.

I get it, these things are inherently hard to organize without problems. But would it be so hard to publish the raw results as they were recorded and let anyone do or check any calculations? They're decentralized. Whatever was wrong could be corrected soon enough.

Probably?

Maybe Iowa needs a coup like Bolivia

I’ll have to re-evaluate my stance on the complete and utter uselessness of the Democrats (DNC and party leadership). They are useful to Donald J. Trump.

Whoever has won (probably Sanders based on probabilities going in and reading the tea leaves available so far?) is really screwed over by this. The Iowa bounce is a statistically significant phenomenon. If that is taken away from the winner, they are deprived of a huge advantage. Luckily for Sanders, the New Hampshire bounce will probably now have the same effect. But if Buttigieg was actually "victorious" in Iowa, he's pretty much just lost whatever hope he had of turning it into a path to the nomination, by virtue of the organisational stuff up.
