Which variety do you see happening in Man of Steel?

The leaked Comic Con footage showed him being escorted by some soldiers, so I'm guessing the law isn't entirely on his side. If the movie's going for a "darker and edgier" vibe like some have said, that would make sense. I just really hope they don't go overboard with it, but I trust Nolan and Goyer pretty well. Snyder's a bit more of a wild card, but he typically shows a lot of concern for source material, and he was appointed by Nolan.

I think I'll start off by making a correction to the "alignment test" web site. :)
Alignment: Chaotic Evil

Examples of characters and people who fit into the same alignment as you include Jack the Ripper, Saddam Hussein, Blackbeard the Pirate, Cruella DeVille, Baron Vladimir Harkonnen, Khan Noonian Singh, Dr. Evil, Professor Moriarty, and Lord Voldemort.
Most of the dirtbags in the above list are not chaotic evil. With one exception, all of them are organized and orderly people. Most of them are authority figures; they stand as heads of organizations. Running those organizations without regard for life and liberty is, in fact, evil--but the use of order and organization, i.e. running a nation with an iron fist, is lawful evil. (Professor Moriarty is a bit dicey here)

The sole exception would be Jack the Ripper: a loner who runs around and stabs people, shunning authority and acting with no regard for life and liberty. That's chaotic evil.

I think there is a big misunderstanding of lawful and chaotic.

What matters is whether the person himself accepts another authority over him or abide by a honor code. It doesn't matter if he is the head of an organized structure UNDER him.

It is perfectly possible for a chaotic to be the head of gov't (if he lies, use hypocritical propaganda, breaks treaties he agreed on or refuse to obey international laws)

And it is possible for a lawful to be an outlaw (check out Batman who is breaking the law to uphold the law)

You are 47.2% Good.
You are 30.8% Lawful.
Alignment: Lawful Good

Really? Lol ok.

You are 27.8% Good.
You are 7.7% Lawful.

Alignment: True Neutral

You do whatever seems like a good idea at the time. You don't feel any strong inclination towards good vs. evil or law vs. chaos. Some may say that you lack conviction, while others might admire you for your capability of remaining unbiased. You likely prefer good versus evil in society, since good people tend to make better neighbors and rulers, but you are not personally committed to upholding good in any abstract or universal way.
You are the stereotypical “Balancer.” You act in a way that is natural to you without prejudice or compulsion.
Examples of charactersand people who fit into the same alignment as you include Linus Torvalds, Dr. Strangelove, Scott Evil, Mr. Spock, and the nation of Switzerland.

I kinda thought I would be more of a neutral good

You are 33.3% Good.
You are 33.3% Lawful.
Alignment: Lawful Good

As a lawful good person, you tend to act as you are expected to. You tell the truth, keep your word, help those in need, and speak out against injustice. You believe that the guilty deserve to be punished. You believe in bringing good to the most people possible while doing a minimum amount of harm. You are stern but fair.
You are the stereotypical “Crusader.” You combine honor and compassion.
Examples of characters and people who fit into the same alignment as you include Superman, Abraham Lincoln, Phileas Fogg, Captain Picard, Sherlock Holmes, and The Tick (who is also sometimes revered to be “Lawful Stupid.”

If only my name were Clark. :p

The test is too American-centred, in many places the 'drive' option isn't available.

I think that the test should also offer the possibility of 1-5 rating the likeliness of each instead of just saying 'I'm likely to do X' and leave it at that.
In 24 there's no 'my parents don't have a rat's ass of a choice in who I date so I don't have to prove anything to them' there.

Still, it got it right, as all these get me Neutral Good.
50% Good, 25% Lawful this time… I don't know if that's what I' actualyl am n reality, but it's consistent with all tests.

Panic! You had your route MapQuested and now you have no idea where you are! :rotfl:

Nothing I didn't expect. Though I may have embellished some of my answers a bit, since I'm not the person to approach random people in the street, even though I wished I was.

Same here really, I would only approach random people in the street if they were injured or in obvious danger somehow.

You are 52.8% Good.
You are 7.7% Lawful.

I am Neutral Good according to that test.
