DipNES03 - Stab in the Dark

build orders sent XD

Reinforcements can only be trained in Supply Centers, correct?

*****

Prime Minister Ignacio gazed over the newspaper. A knock on the door caused him to raise his head.

"Yes?"

The door to his office opened and a figure entered.

"Ah, Dante. Good to see you."

"Same to you my friend. I bring news from the North."

"Ah, more on the Austrians?"

"An update, yes."

"Go ahead."

"General Mussolini has held off the offensive against Venice. Ferdinand's Austrian force has been held back in Trieste."

"Excellent. And what of your colonial works in Africa?"

"I just completed them a few weeks ago. Tunisia is ours."

"Wonderful."

"Though other nations are growing worryingly powerful as well."

"Bah. We'll worry about them when the time comes. We're at peace with all of them. Now, let's eat spaghetti and eat a pizza to celebrate our victories."

"Isn't that just a stereotypical thing said to confirm that this is in Italy? Rather than... say... anywhere?"

"Of course not! Would you prefer penne then?"

Reinforcements can only be built in home supply centers. That's the three (or four, if you're Russia) you started off with.

Edit: Okay, Iggy's story made me laugh. I'm so glad somebody decided to write a pointless story too! I don't feel alone anymore!

Also: For those of you confused about WTH the CIA is and what it's doing in 1901...wait until the next update! America is not what it seems!

I bet it's a time traveling America, isn't it? America in 2001 built a time machine to transport all 10,000^2^2^2 tons of its landmass back in time to wreak havoc, right?

 The Czar is very very upset. And the value of a word given by a Turk is revealed for all to see. Oh, the lamenting that will follow...

I find it suspicious that the capture of Sevastopol isn't mentioned in the update at all...

Anyway, diplo will be sent and responded to in a few hours. I need to go to school.

Just some interesting history.
I found that somewhat unsettling to read. You make it sound as if dropping out of the game when you're about to lose is something natural. It is not. If you won't play the game to the end, don't play. If someone dropped out of the game, for simply not wanting to play any more, I would not invite that someone back to the table. Ever.

Also, those weird moves that MjM submitted should have been ignored, or treated as supports of units holding position. Especially as it didn't make a difference. Please don't make a precedent to allow vague orders, at another time they could change the game.

And yeah, why the eerie silence regarding Sevastopol? I sense a conspiracy...

ORDER THE FIRST: I know it's not natural, and we've yelled at him a lot, but part of the reason is that he always loses is because he dropped out of that first game. We invite him in because we need a person to round out the players, and, to be honest, he always is the first one to die because of it, no questions asked. But I don't approve of dropping out. I hate it.

ORDER THE SECOND: Nobody ever sent me vague orders before, so, heh. I thought I would just do whatever since it didn't make a difference, but I guess your point of view is valid. I am, remember, a complete no0b at Diplomacy, despite my wins ^^;

ORDER THE THIRD: I could say that the silence regarded Sevastopol was on purpose, like the CIA gaff, but instead I will say that it is all part of the overreaching story and that you'll have to wait until the end to see!

lets just say that all those dropping outs all occur at our school (lightfang and I) because some people (all the diplo players are at same school) won't stop saying, "you know you're going to lose the diplo" , "Just give up, there is no way you could survive" or "Hey, lets attack Italy and split the nation up". I just clearly responded to their demands in order to stop these annoyance.

I believe this diplomacy would be least depressing since i dont know anyone personally except lightfang XD

@Foozicaba: Yes, but you don't have to be so emotional about it! It's just a game! Take it easy! I mean, you know, rubbing it in is fun. :<

And! And! And!
First game: We were on opposite sides of the map. I had no part in your betrayal.
Second game: I didn't play.
Third game: You betrayed me first, you silly fool! Kicked me out of Norway! You even promised neutrality! :p
Fourth game: I didn't carry over a grudge. I was, again, on the other side of the map. :D

you know.... did i point a finger at you or something, i meant the other people like Tek and mr.what.... you never said anything...

So when will we get an update with the builds? You never did specify a deadline...

Oh! I updated the front page and neglected to tell you all!

Next Update: Thursday, May 3, at 8:00 PM, Pacific Time.
