These two riflemen are based on Mongolian and Swedish riflemen. I use them as Steppe and Norse riflemen. The animations could be better, but they'll do for me, and hopefully for you.

Looking good so far. The legs need some work, though. Thank you for filling a "mongolian gap" for me. :)

Good units. :)

The only problem are the legs in the dying anim. You could try to turn off the feet magnets (forgot the actual term) for this kind of animation. Perhaps even for every anims - after a while, you don't really need these anchors.

I also noticed: there is no shadow. Is it intended ?

I think you can also improve the shooting animation, it doesn't look very natural.

I think it's because the recoil "raise" the rifle too much, and not enough back.

The shoulder should go back more, with the upper body accompanying it.

The recoil is a force going backward, not up.

The animations I took from the animation library, and are Hikaro Takayama's. I thought they looked a little unnatural, but I decided to go with it.
About the shadows, I have no idea why some of my units have shadows and some don't. It's really quite bizzare.
And about the sliding feet, I couldn't really be bothered to fix the animations and make them look truly decent. Meh.

Can you explain with more detail this? I'm interested in. Thaks.

I don't have Poser on my computer right now.. but there should be a "This object has a shadow" box and a "This light makes shadows" box. It might have something with Ray projections only.

I will check if I'm not daydreaming this week-end.

It's in the properties tab (i.e. where you can turn off visiblity). There is a check box which says, simply, "casts shadows", although it only works for individual parts (and possibly props), not for whole figures.

Thanks, shadows now will be present on all my future units! :D

Now, which unit should I put up for unit of the month?
This month I've made Slash, various mesopotamian units, mongolian worker, mongolian settler, mongolian rifleman and swedish rifleman.

I have seen your gif in the competition thread. Where are the typical special actions for the worker ? Not showing the digging irrigating plant ... is maybe an error ,don`t you think so ? (Ask Pounder if he accept a new gif;))
