I posted it five days before the end of August, why be so strict? You know i dont have anything to make in September since my pc crashed. :)

Well, if you dont want to accept it, i guess i will just edit it slightly and repost it in September.

Everbody picks their best work for the month and enters it it the monthly competition.

Everyone has past posts that they never entered into the competitions.

No one will be treated differently.

If you have the ability to edit, then you have the ability to create.

Still there is nothing in the rules against entering an edited version of a previously released graphic. Hell, i've seen things posted in competitions which are little more than a pixel here and there mods of older works posted in the forum. So i guess our problem is solved :)

As for editing and creating, it is not at all the same when you are making 3d graphics. I can edit the towns in Gimp. I need Bryce, and a whole new model to create something new.

I will try to have something else ready, but if i don't i think we are agreed that i can use an edited version of the mughal towns :)

Btw Pounder it would really help a lot if you allowed pm's to be sent to you (not sure if you do nowdays) ;)

Hi again, Pounder :)

It seems all the more unlikely that i will get to create anything that is even close in quality to the Mughal set this month. I uploaded in in the 26th of August, simply because i wanted people to have it sooner, i Always had in mind to enter it in the contest of the next month.

I can slightly edit it, and re-upload it, but it is already perfect in my view. You would save me the troube by just accepting it.
Let me mention that in the past the person holding the contest (i dont recall his name right now) allowed such minor changes, if the graphic was entered in the final days of the previous month (you can trace our discussion on that in his thread if you want to, and the result).

Anyway, hope we can agree on this :)

If I let you do it, then I have to let everyone else do it.

Maybe I could run a leftovers competition January 1st that would allow everyone to make a single entry that was posted in 2010, but not entered in previous competitions.

The leftovers winner could go into the Hall of Fame and possibly be entered into the Annual Competition (if there are no objections).

That is an idea, but it has the problem that it might make the competitions chaotic. I do not think we need another contest each month.

Anyway, are you allowing me to change the graphic then, and re-upload it so as to enter it? In practice it will be a new version of the Mughal set, and in theory a new entry.

Note that by changing the graphic i have in mind to simply alter some shadows, and perhaps make the windows cleaner. I can post the changes if you want to, and name them, but do not expect them to be cataclysmic :)

Thank you for naming my precious graphic, twice, as a "leftover" (joking).

What exactly is the problem though? Im sure you have seen edited versions of stuff already posted being entered in the contest. We do not have to go that back, Takhisis posted a slightly (?) edited graphic by Aaglo two months ago ;)

Well it is leftover because you choose something else for the month of August.

I wouldn't be questioning the amount of work that other people have put into their postings.

I noticed for example that Goldfool didn't make any entry last month even though he posted some great resources the 29th of August.

I'm just thinking that if we are going to allow this, then it should be open to everyone.

Not sure if i understand: of course i accept that if you are to allow this (by which i gather by now you mean using the unchanged graphic of the mughal set?) then it will be for everyone. You could make a rule (which existed in the old competition, in an unwritten form) that anything posted in the last days of a month can be used in the next contest if the creator wants to.

I am sure that you too want only the best work from each person to be used in these contests :) I could use other works, sure, but they wouldnt be as good.

Ps: Although this was not a factor, if i had waited until the 1rst of September to post the Mughal set, it would have been lost, since my computer crashed. So Deus Lo Volt! (god wills it) :)
