I personally have come to the conclusion that all GMs are masochists, at least all who GM IOT. Since they all know it will become a clusteryerf within a week, or in some cases, a day, due to mass sign-ups. And become a headache when a world war inevitably breaks out. And yet all they go back to it like sheep to the slaughter...

That world war point probably explains why many players have taken it upon themselves to define IOT as a diplomacy game or war game; their concern for the GM's sanity.

I made my first home-made knife

Just took an old high-carbon file

1) Annealed it (softened the metal with heat)
2) Shaped with grinder
3) Put an edge on w/ grinder
4) Filed to desired sharpness with other files

The only thing that's left is a handle. So I guess it isn't totally done. But I have a few deer antlers I'm thinking about using... Or I'll use a metal pipe. I might save the antler for my next one, I might chalk this one up to a "practice/prototype"

GMing mafia/NOTW is totally different - it's entertaining, since you know everyone's role (etc) and you can laugh at everyone playing.

Amazon and most American distributors got the game over a week late. It came out via most digital distribution services and in Europe on the morning of the 13th.
