Are saying that the tiles in the two files wCSO and lwCSO are read in different order, I will have to try it in the editor.

There is no way to include a CSO file - the editor doesn't offer any free slot for it- only for SSS...

Unfortunately if you wanna incorporate these as some form of resource, you'll need to build a road to em (which would look kinda odd.) Unless you want to make these shield adding resources which works if they are within the city radius.

Actually, if I'm not mistaken, you don't need a harbor either. Those a bonus resources which are different from strategic and luxury resources as you know because you can't trade them.
 
They wouldn't really work as resources with my mod because I'm at the resource limit. Well, I could still add resources, but then things start going reeeeeally strange, like cities with no roads reporting that they have access to a resource that they don't have the tech for and isn't findable on the terrain the city is on.

Nope, it let me build units/buildings that required those "resources-that-shouldn't-be-there". I'm not sure exactly what the limit is, I have to go and count in my biq (I just kept reducing by 1 until I didn't encounter the bug any more, heh). I think it's somewhere in the neighbourhood of 30-40 resources. I originally had 60ish.

Pounder, could you upload your complete modified snoopy's terrain (including what you didn't modify)? Not the terrain improvements of buildings, just the terrain? It would make installing all of your modifications much easier. Thanks in advance :)!
 
Actually, I just counted and I have 58 resources (counting lux and bonus as well as strategic). I had 80+ before I cut down.

I think I have only modified 3 or 4 of Snoopy's files (floodplains, cso and xtgc), I wouldn't have room and I'm sure that the people who run this site wouldn't appeciate me loading all that duplication.

If there is a limit it is higher than 60- you need to take greater care where you put those resources of your's- even them out better, so that you get them spread out across the map- I myself do not have any tile with more than 4 extra (maximum 5) resources, with some resources appearing on different tiles, of course.

I love it Pounder. I'm always glad to see little details like this to make the map look a little more real. I have one problem though. I use Rhye's Terrain rather than Snoopy's. Is there any chance you will be making a version that works with Rhye's terrain? I also have a suggestion. If you ever decide to tweak it a little I would make the reef a little less uniform within the square so that it thins out into bands that parallel the shoreline. Of course if I could do it I wouldn't be asking you then would I?

I would like to do as you say, but the would mean using a few more tiles. I needed to make sure that I had some control were they show up. If I use another tile the has multiple uses then they would be showing up eveywhere.

As you can see in this pic, I choose tiles that I knew would connect only to a select few tiles.

I will play around a bit more, there is always tweaking that can be done.
 
:bounce: If you don't make a version for Rhye's terrain I shall bounce up and down asking repeatedly within my own home where it will have no effect whatsoever. :bounce:
