But of course on CNN, they are getting thoughtful explanation of the reality of the vote counting situation with careful analysis of the dynamics of different precincts/counties, and an explanation of the different types of votes and when they are counted and how they are breaking and why... along with constant rebukes of Trumps nonsense and unsubstantiated claims, whereas on FOX News, they would have been getting bombarded with false claims about fraud, and irregularities. So since they have been watching CNN, etc., instead of FOX, they have had time to really acclimate themselves to the reality of the situation.

Wrong!!! They get an impulsive gag reflex the moment they hear CNN. They would never watch it.

@Bamspeedy, that actually seems a lot later than what I would imagine.

I guess they are deadlines, not schedules. Can be done earlier, but if the deadline approaches and they are still counting and/or legal challenges they go with the tally they have unless there are court ordered extensions would be my guess.

Delaware should have certified by now, so maybe they have. It's not like Delaware is a big news story.

You heard it here folks. @Joij21 wants to
Keep prosecuting the drug war even when it is long since lost
Refuse to do the bare minimum to stop the planet cooking
Keep selling cluster bombs for the Saudis to slaughter Yemeni children, and keep supplying the blockade that has caused a artificial famine and pandemic (not COVID, a bunch of diseases that aren't issues, unless the entire medical system is down)
And admits he doesn't know basic facts, and can't do basic research, like the fact that Putin already asked for a 5 year extension, and Trump said no because he had some dumb stunt with China. It's a layup, but Trump and co were too stupid to just take it.

Something that's occuring to me is how peacefully this election went (at least from my perspective, as i'm not a USA citizen): there was a lot of promise of violence and rioting, but it seems things went the normal, civilized way.

What really strikes me as appaling is the fact that only when it became all but certain that Trump was losing the presidency, did the medias do something they should have done long ago: just shut out Donald Trump nonsense, period. Even when he popularized "fake news" and pointed the media as an enemy, they still went along and continued providing him the attention he seeked.

Spineless bastards. Only turned him off when he lost power. Should have thought of that before...

Rush Limbaugh conceded the election
That helps. Seriously, no sarcasm. He better watch out though. After FOX News called Arizona there were Trump voter protests going on where the crowd was chanting "FOX News Sucks!"

But TBH a Democratic President is better for him anyway. It gives him something to complain about and more aggrieved listeners turning to him to validate their gripes.

I heard on the radio that FOX News anchors and contributors were given a directive that they were to avoid calling Biden "President-Elect" regardless of the network having called the election for Biden. :shake:

President Trump raged on Wednesday that he wants "all voting to stop." But emails obtained by The Daily Beast and the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel revealed Friday that it was Republican Party officials in Wisconsin who have allegedly been urging their volunteers to call Pennsylvanians and implore them to send in late — and therefore illegal — votes. "That would be exactly what the president and his campaign are accusing Democrats of doing," one legal expert observed to The Daily Beast

@FriendlyFire, can i get a:

Perhaps some generals whispered in some WH ears that there are limits to riots to excuse possible abuse of the National Guard by Trump

I filed that one under "fake news" but I am feeling optimistic

196 electors are just too few.
Fptp is a terrible system.

The Electoral College is not FPTP. It's worse than FPTP. FPTP is how what their House of Representatives uses, adopted from the British House of Commons (there weren't a lot of other elected national legislative bodies to model after in 1787) - one member per geographical electoral district, with the most votes (even if it is a small plurality) within the district, with each district supposed to be as close to each other in population as possible. THAT'S FPTP. The Electoral College is far wonkier, less representative, more easily manipulated, leads to far more cheated elections, and reinforces and empowers political Duopolies - in other words, yes, it is indeed a terrible system, antagonistic to true democracy or respect for the will of the people and the great enabler for the soft tyranny, beyond all true and realistic accountability and transparency by it's people, shown by the U.S. Government, regardless of which major party is in power for a VERY long time now...
