Romney rebuked Trump's stolen election narrative

Well, I do admit, he had the decency to admit defeat in 2012 (though probably because of the embarassment of that huge, very expensive fireworks show he paid for out of his pocket in advance he never got to use, and the fact he never wrote a concession speech, but still).

Keep prosecuting the drug war even when it is long since lost
I thought you implied abolishing the police. Guess your happy with rapists and murderers running loose.

Refuse to do the bare minimum to stop the planet cooking
Planets already cooked, nothing we can do about that. You can't take the CO2 that's already in the atmosphere out. So even if we achieved zero carbon emissions, the Earth will still continue to warm.

Keep selling cluster bombs for the Saudis to slaughter Yemeni children, and keep supplying the blockade that has caused a artificial famine and pandemic (not COVID, a bunch of diseases that aren't issues, unless the entire medical system is down)
Oh I'm not for the war in Yemen, just I believe Biden is far to weak and pathetic to negotiate any sort of peace.

And admits he doesn't know basic facts, and can't do basic research, like the fact that Putin already asked for a 5 year extension, and Trump said no because he had some dumb stunt with China. It's a layup, but Trump and co were too stupid to just take it.
Like Putin is going to negotiate with Biden after he lambasts Russia for election interference.

In honesty though, none of our media is really something to write home about. I wonder how much it would cost to pull a Vatican and hire some monotone Swiss to do a nightly broadcast?

I don't watch American news media, that's how bad it's gotten. I get my news from the CBC, Global News, Southam News, the BBC, Reuters, Al-Jazeera, and a few others. American news media lost it's professional, highbrow, respectable edge of journalism when Walter Cronkite retired, in my opinion.

Did you get contaminated by Trump's idiocy about climate or what ?

The inherent human need for order and security would likely lead to a scenario like in the '70's dystopian future sci-fi short-story, "the Syndic," so I hope @Drakle and others with that view are prepared to pay up "protection money," personally, to thugs bound by no rules or laws, even in theory, other than their own, and not paying up would make the dissenters "threats to security," and targets of this self-appointed "thug police," with an impunity that make modern U.S. brutality, where it happened, pale in comparison. But the grass always SEEMS greener on the other side of the fence...

Climate denial is mostly utter malarkey. But it's not Trump's malarkey. He's aping tropes and talking points on the issue that have been kicking around for almost three, adding or innovating nothing new. To be fair, giving Trump the blame for it, or labelling it as his, both gives him too much credit for creativity in disinformation, and gives the false hope it might go away when he's no longer relevant.

I'm thinking Putin will negotiate with whoever is in power. He's far to shrewd to lose an opportunity over hurt feelings. I doubt Putin has any feelings FTM... he's KGB, cold as ice, practical, calculating.
I wonder if Biden will nominate Obama to his cabinet?
Obama: Hard pass

Can a former U.S. President who has served a full two terms be put in an office that is in the Presidential line of succession? I'm not clear on rule.

I read an article after Trump's election that put forward a pretty good argument that Putin would have preferred to work with Clinton. Clinton is a committed Atlanticist and places great value in maintaining the alliance with Europe - specifically Germany and France. France is always grumpy about the American role in Europe and Germany has surprisingly close economic and political ties with Russia they are loath to lose. Lean on Germany and stoke French grumpiness and Clinton is under pressure to soften her Russia stance to maintain good relations. Plus Clinton is more reliable than His Trumpiness and would have an easier time selling anything to deal with Russia to the US establishment.

I wonder if the count is slowing because with each additional day, they lose more volunteer manpower as people go back to work and stuff?

If you meant Barack, I think I agree with @Sommerswerd. You probably couldn't pay him enough. But Michelle's wiki bio says she was "vice president for Community and External Affairs of the University of Chicago Medical Center." That sounds public-health-related. HHS?

Wow. A bunch of stuff posted in two days. It seems talk radio is now conceding the election. Suits will continue and recounts will occur, but it seems to be pro-forma at this point. Congratulations. After four years of talking about incompetence, now you actually have a President who is not competent.

Jason Whitlock had an interesting take. He called it a parable of the power of love and the power of hate. Hate won.
