Hunter-Gatherer peoples are thought to have inhabited Mexico more than 20,000 years ago. Evidence shows the beginning of farming between 1500 and 900 BC. Between 900 and 300 BC, more complex cultures began to form. From AD 100 to 900 some matured into great civilizations, such as the Olmec, Toltec, Mayan, and Aztec. The Aztecs were the rulers of much of Mexico by about 1200.
Present-day Mexico covers the area where several advanced Pre-Columbian Mesoamerican civilizations like the Maya, Olmec, Toltec and Aztec cultures developed and flourished for centuries before first contact with Europeans. The modern name "Mexico" comes from either an Aztec god named Mextli or a name for ruling group of the Aztec people, the "Meshika".
The native cultures were invaded and conquered by Spain starting in 1519. Francisco Hernández de Córdoba explored the shores of South Mexico in 1517 and Juan de Grijalva in 1518. The most important of the early Conquistadores was Hernán Cortés, who entered the country in 1519 from a native coastal town which he renamed "Puerto de la Villa Rica de la Vera Cruz" (today's Veracruz).
During the colonial period, that lasted from 1521 to 1821, Mexico was known as "Nueva España" or "New Spain" whose territories included today's Mexico and a similar sized area located in most of what is today's southwestern United States. The war for independence started September 16, 1810, and was spearheaded by Miguel Hidalgo, a priest of Spanish descent and progressive ideas.
Many presidents came and went, which brought a long period of instability that lasted most of the 19th century. Porfirio Diaz became the new president. During a period of more than 30 years (1876 - 1911) while he was the strong man in Mexico, the country's infrastructure improved greatly thanks to investments from other countries.

Villista, the UU:
It replaces Rifleman, it has 2 extra offensive point and 1 less defensive one. The unit come with these files and was developed by Utahjazz7.

Excellent! It's going straight into my mod.

It's good that you finally started using M2 model, though still there is a problem with all your leaderheads... their eyes. Both in real world and Poser, they are movable, while eyes of your leaderheads are static like doll's and lose eye-contact with every movement of the head/body. That all gives impression as if they were talking with someone else, not you the player.

I have to change the eyes movement of my future leaderheads, Rita posted a tip in Swedish topic, I have to try it. Thanks for the tip!

@Ankka, @IbnSina: thanks for the ellogies!

It's impressive the way that you don't have to sacrifice quality for the quantity of your leaderheads! How do you turn them out so quickly?
I like it. I'm surprised no one has ever made a Mexican leaderhead before!

Interesting, and one of my favorite characters from Mexican history. I might use him as the leader for the Aztecs in my Tweaked Out mod (after all, he WAS of mixed Spanish, Olmec and Aztec descent, if I remember what I read in his biography correctly).

Good job on the leaderhead, too. It looks like the photos of him from the book that I read.

Nice leaderhead indeed and good choice of UU for the Mexican civlization (I am Mexican and I would like to be considered a "Villista"). Just a couple of small details: Hernan Cortez was more Spansih than Mexican; in fact, Mexico didn't existed at all when he was alive. Neither was Maximiliano de Habsburgo; he was Austrian not Mexican. My other two choices would be Porfirio Diaz and Benito Juarez.
