Vuldacon, sorry for sounding so behind, but are you helping King Arthur with the New Update?

That's a BIG yes.

New Popheads, terrain changes, resource graphics, new interface and I could go on.

Lord Malbeth... you are not really behind, I am just not one to make a great deal of Posts and haven't really said much about what I am doing. Yes, I am actually trying to go over ALL files in the game and improving all I can with new additions. I am Happy to say that Supa and MoscaTnt are making some new units that will improve some of the Zombies. I believe King Arthur is going to keep this particular version of EFZI going so I am certain there will be future updates after this major one that will include more units and improvements. King Arthur is one Happy Editor and is busy putting together Tons of Files I have probably Overwhelmed him with  This is a Fun Game and we want to do it justice with some major improvements and additions in this upcoming Update. All continues to go very well and rest assured, King Arthur and I are working as fast as we can to complete this Update.

You're getting better and better Mosca !! I didn't know you could have the head and the body moving separately in poser, and it's a great idea for a zombie's death :goodjob:

You can't normally! I think he must have done something terribly clever, like make a copy of the head into a prop, make the head invisible, and then move the prop - cunning!

I'm really looking forward to the next update. After a long break I've been playing the scenario again. Love the old (new to me) graphics from the last update, and the gameplay is even better than before - although my gameplay is rather rusty.

Right now Hannibal Smith is holed up in the Hardware Store with a couple Old War Vets, a couple Spunky Kids, a couple Bad Asses, a bunch of Chain Girls and a bunch of Handbuilt Tanks. Everything else has fallen, but there are a lot of resources here.

Hannibal himself barely escaped through the sewers when Monster Zombies stormed the Retirement Home. I love the Sewer Access routes! That wasn't his first miraculous escape.

The Authorities still hold the Military Base, that's it. Company I think is wiped out. Zeb was wiped out despite doing very well early on.

Miss Tokugawa was killed early on, when the zombies retook the Fastfood Restaurant. Dying for burgers! Her father died there too.

I don't know if I should try for the Airport (probably can't make it through the Monster Zombies) or make yet another grab for the Factory and try to build some Mean Machines. I've tried several times but I always have to retreat and heal my units.

One way it might work is use one units and lead monster zombies away from airport. since they will try to attack, get as many away as possible then you can attack and build an helicopter to get your unit out

Ah, what a heartwarming story bkwrm79. Not that I relish your imminent demise but the fact you've kept playing to the bitter end. There's not many scenarios where you can clutch victory out of the jaws of defeat - down to one city and you can still win if you manage to get out by helicopter. I say go for the airport and let us know how you get on.

My brother got stuck in a game (as the Authorities) with only the military base.

Everything was dead, (except for Zeb's 2 cities) only the General and 1 Crusier was left, and zombies were comming in en mass, and so were monster zombies.

And then General Fullbright was overrun by a horde of zombie nurses and graveyard swarms.

Thanks Cloner4000 and KingArthur.

Taking your advice, I (Hannibal) led a force of Chaingirls, Badasses, and Spunky Kids, dodging from building to building to avoid Monster Zombies.

Spunky Kids running out into the street didn't seem to divert many Monster Zombies, unfortunately.

I reached the airport, attacked, killed Zombies, began to run out of health. My force retreated in good order and was able to heal a little before my reinforcements arrived (the extra mobility of Sewer Rats proving very helpful here). One last ditch attack - we capture the Airport!

Zombie forces became increasingly restless near both the Hardware Store and the Airport. I rushed a Helicopter as soon as the Airport was out of Disorder and fled to the mainland. The helicopter retreated to the Hardware Store and sent a few people after me; the Airport lasted only two turns after completion of the Helicopter. A fairly close run thing.

Then several stacks of Monster Zombies converged on the Hardware Store. I rushed a Handbuilt Tank each turn to stay alive until I got enough victory points. If I'd gone for the Factory, I'd never have been able to rush enough Mean Machines to hold the Monster Zombies off for more than a few turns. The extremely cinematic mad dash for the Airport was good advice!

All in all, a very close shave, and one of the most satisfying wins I've had playing Civ. :)

Nice, THAT was really close, what zombie movies are made up of.

Did you know Spunky kids appear invisible to other? so the zombie can't see them which means they won't attack or follow him.

Ah. Thanks! I didn't realize that. I was thinking, annoying little kid, taunt the Monster Zombies... ah well. I'll keep that in mind for my tactics in this game. I'm playing the Survivors again, was off to an impressive start until Monster Zombies appeared and rolled me back a bit. Now that I've finally got fuel I need to retake the Factory.

Funny - last game I was reduced to one building, but it had Spare Parts, Ammo and Fuel. Current game I've got a whole bunch of buildings, but for quite a while I had no ammo or fuel. The respawning of resources definitely adds to the zombie movie feel, but can be a bit frustrating at times.

OK, I have a question that has nothing to do with this game. If a zombie eats your brain will you still turn into a zombie? Because I thought the brain controlled movement, and if it was eaten how could you live? Oh well, Its all in (Creepy) fun. :D
