Need testers for new editor

A feature that I think would be quite useful in your editor would be to change the tech tree builder so that you can move the techs about not only by dragging with the mouse, but also by clicking and then moving the techs with the arrow keys, moving pixel-by-pixel to make it more precise.

Excellent. Is there actually a manual or something for the editor yet?

Tom mentioned the "dreaded Vista monster". I've found that turning off UAC ("User Access Control") seems to by and large do the trick. Caveat: as this works alongside Windows Defender, it will slightly weaken your PC's defenses, but, if you're being sensible and running decent AV and AM software (not to mention ideally a hardware firewall) the relative loss should be insignificant.

Best,

Oz
You can always switch off your modem or engage Internet Lock mode, as you'd not be going online while playing civ.

All the same since 8.1.

Any chance to fix that? Happens right when you try to open anything.

Using WinXP SP3, v.8.0 is working fine.

Just dl'ed it, it is excellent, a huge timesaver.
But I'm having a similar problem as ares, I get that message, which happens every time I switch the civ or the civcolour. Also, is it possible for you to change how the civs that you've added yourself don't show up in red?

I have recentlyu switched to Windows 7 and Visual Studio 2008.

I don't know what is the exact cause of the problem, but when I did this change the windows of the editor were resized (a lot).

I tried to resize them smaller. But they are still a little big.

I can't afford to maintain two versions.

So next version will be based on what I have on my computer.

Sorry for the inconvenience if you can't display it properly on your screen.

dude, the app is very useful to me and i can live with having to use a bigger screen size. hm, maybe i can use this as an excuse to upgrade to a 23" hd monitor ... [*grin*]

take care,

1. It crashes your computer, format all your drives, send me an email with all your credit cards information, broadcast to the internet pictures of you in the most embarassing situation you can think of.

2. The Windows is slightly bigger than the screen, so you need to move it to see it.

BTW, I will update a new version soon, an "experimental version". Just so you can tell me if it works OK for you now I recompiled it with Windows 7 and Visual Studio 2008.
