This is perhaps the third or fourth time you have accused me of knowing something I couldn't possibly know.

There is an extremely sloppy pattern to your detective work, master Kennigit. You jump to extremely unreasonable conclusions and plow ahead full steam.

I just explained to you in private that I cannot determine what your mana does because I am not an expert, and you can independently verify that yourself by showing it to random non-experts.

I grow quite weary of you telling me what I know, and it being completely wrong.

Again, I see you as a stubborn, strong-willed, and well-intentioned innocent, but could you please, kindly, rein yourself in? Your missteps are beginning to hurt my feet, and I grow frustrated with the constant corrections you are forcing me to issue on your behalf."

Sir, if Kennigit targets someone and it does no damage, this lends a note of credibility to Seon's claim that he took no damage. It does not prove him innocent, but it establishes unequivocally that Kennigit's spell attack can cause zero harm to an innocent.

That means there is no basis for accusing Seon. None.... the entirety of the case against Seon is that Kennigit targeted him and the spell was successful. In his own words, this is the entirety of the case against Seon.

And he has retracted that same accusation because, even he knows, that if he can target an innocent and there will be no damage done, it means he has obtained no actual evidenciary support that Seon is a Demon.

All he's done is target a random person. That is all. That's not a case, that's a random and baseless accusation.

I know you understand this, and are fair-minded. Because I believe you to be honorable and wise enough to admit when logic dictates a certain course of action.

I trust you concur, but if you do not, I trust you to be able to articulate a reason why non-evidence can be used as evidence here. It is not a reasonable course of action.

Now then, there may be other reasons to suspect Seon. And, perhaps, we do not NEED reasons to suspect Seon. If you wish to lynch him anyway, I approve of that action, because if he is guilty, lynching him on no evidence is even stronger than lynching him with false flag evidence. It suggests that you're definitely not in league with Seon.

So, by all means, leave your accusations where they are. But make it clear, you're accusing Seon just because, not because Kennigit is able to target him with a spell that might do nothing to others. That is actually a far more reasonable thing to do, and I have no objections whatsoever to that.

Seon is not at all clear. Voting him is entirely appropriate. But testing Master Kennigit's abilities seems wise to me."

How do we KNOW the target doesn't take any damage? Kennigit's result PM clearly didn't tell him, and the word of the targeted holds little weight.

"I know this council does not follow the protocol of innocent, absent evidence of guilt, but if this accusation had fallen upon you today, I would be acting as your lawyer, because you would know full well how poor is the prosecution.

I have no personal love for Seon (nor malice) but if no one speaks out against poor reasoning, then there is little point in convening council. We should just appoint a vice-King and lynch whoever he says for whatever reason.

I believe we are reasonable men, even in unreasonable times. But one does not have to be reasonable. One can condemn someone based on nothing if he chooses."
