The Prespurian Regent looks at the time, and notes the pile of votes on Thomas.Berubeg now.
"Well, what's done is done. I don't feel confident anymore that I've done the right thing. However, someone who is deliberately not speaking to us or assisting us in any way is dead.
I am hoping that, even if we weren't successful, this was the 'least bad' lynch we could have come up with.
I need some vigilant person keeping watch over me tonight. Now that the day is concluded I will say this, and I will borrow the loudness of my gregarious champion:
One of my Orbs was stolen. That's what the intruder did. If they seek Death Mana then they will want the other one I still possess, which means I am asking anyone with the ability to *keep watch* to please watch me, while I transfer the mana I just obtained to the VIP in question, before it also gets stolen.
Once it is safely away, the thief has to go looking for it, and it is much safer that way.
I had a plan of action to resolve this, but I was concerned that people would believe I'm just guilty and siphoning off mana to hidden cohorts.
That's not what is happening and you will see, very shortly, there is a thief afoot. I did not want doubts about my truthfulness to interfere with the giving of the Entropy Mana to the VIP, that is why I waited until now to speak publicly on the matter.
If I get the assistance I require tonight, the thief will either be caught, or the Entropy Mana will reach the hands of the person who needs it. What happens to me after that is irrelevant.
The thief, in my opinion, is guilty. They are countermanding the will of the council by removing the mana given to the person who, in the council's judgment, was most worthy.
Hopefully I live to speak with you another day."
