The Prespurian Regent returns to the hall, after having consulted with allies and opponents alike in private. He seems calmer, and resolute, but has a grave expression on his face.
"Kennigit appears to have been a mason, and I believe I know who his partner is, and his partner is in need of the 2 sun mana.
I won't reveal his partner here, publicly, but I ask that the Sun Mana be given to Catharsis, who I trust to hand directly to the mason in question.
I have been trying to decide all day how the best way to get this done was. I realize that I am asking far, far too much of this council, and it is not only unwise, but not very much fun, to simply hand me every bit of mana I request.
I have already obtained the MetaMagic Mana that I need, and I am handing it to someone who will make a copy of it, and that makes 2. I will then ask that the original is handed back to the person who gave it to me.
Then, I ask that the one up for vote today goes to our friend the Sheaim Merchant, Winston Hughes, who intends to use it to destroy the Fire Mana he obtained yesterday, and convert it into something more useful for this council, a noble cause.
And I have no real reason to trust this man, but I'm doing it anyway. I'm going with my gut feelings.
Again, the Death Mana belongs to me and is quite necessary to be back in my hands.
My attack on Stuck in Pi last night reveals that my attacking strength is back down to exactly 1 damage. That means I have no more Death Mana remaining. One was stolen, and one was used to restore the Sheaim-Calabim relations.
That means my stolen mana returns to me, 100% of the time. I am the logical choice, and should I survive, I will generate more Death Mana for King Exar.
~~~~~~
Finally, I've requested that Seon give up his Chaos mana if he is in any way innocent. He wants to be put to death via vampire attack, to fulfill his personal goal.
This happens only if someone announces that Seon has handed over the Chaos mana. Otherwise he dies by the lynch, and then a second lynch, and I have no intention of risking the lives of my fellow vampires giving a known liar what he wants, which might very well be to crack the necks of my comrades as they approach him.
A Demon is going to be infinitely stronger than a Vampire in personal combat, he may be able to damage us in combat. That is why I am concerned that he is baiting us into a trap.
I want to know where the Chaos mana ends up.
Finally..."
The Regent takes out his sword, and tosses it to the floor.
"My sword is of absolutely no use to protect me against Immolation.
If you believe I am an innocent person, I require no less than 2 Water Mana to perform a spell of Self-Protection.
You have to hand it to me before Night Ends tonight, or I will die.
This must happen, or I'm dead, and you will have lost far more than you can possibly know.
I'm not just a leader, I am a very important person in many different ways."
