If you're going to censor a word, the board software doesn't care about context. It censors whatever group of letters/characters it's programmed to censor.

If this word is censored at the discretion of the staff, that's one thing. But if it's actually added to the autocensor, that's going to be a problem.

Don't have a EU Visa...I don't need one when traveling as a tourist, but I assume I would need one for working there, which would probably require me getting a job offer first... No EU passport. I work mostly with Middleware and web technologies, but I also have some experience with Linux/Windows administration... I think Ireland is a very beautiful place...I was in Dublin just this June visiting.

Let's not get ahead of ourselves. No one is adding the words to the autocensor.

What I meant was (and it's pretty clear in context, I think), that the use of "honky" or "cracker" to replace "white man" will not be tolerated by me. The same way that the n-word is not tolerated when replacing "black man".

It's nothing to make a federal case out of, and nothing to overreact about. Put crackers in your soup all you want.

Anyone know any cool books in Latin you enjoyed reading? Just started studying Latin again in university and need something to read/ translate.

I've been called a racist because I once said the word cracker.

I really struggle to believe that anyone is actually offended by "cracker", let alone "honky". The only people I've ever seen express any genuine upset at the terms are pretty transparently coming from the position that if they can't use their favourite racial slur, nobody should get to.

I think reading Asterix and Obelix in latin is not that unusual. Not sure if that counts as "book" for you ^^.
    Didn't do it myself though.

I've never felt offended by either cracker or honky. My sense is that they referred to particular types of white people that could also be labeled "bad" for other reasons..

If you want to find racial slurs for white people that will actually cause offence, you have to look for slurs used by certain groups of white people to describe other kinds of white people.

I suppose that white people are just naturally better at racism. It's just a scientific fact. Here, observe these bell curves...

There's always the classics and I believe that the Harry Potter books have been translated into Latin, as well as the aforementioned adventures of Asterix.

If I sell my body to science but then ensure my corpse is destroyed beyond any use upon my death, can the scientific institution I sold my body to sue my estate for breach of contract?

If they have given you something in compensation for the goods (i.e. your corpse) then I think that at least they are entitled to a reimbursement. Since you are in the U.S. of A., it would depend on which state you are in as well as (possibly) federal law.

What prompts such a weird question, may I ask?

Just trying to plan ways in which I can make my eventual death as inconvenient and frustrating for as many people as possible.

And you have ruled out stealing a nuclear bomb and detonating it in, say, New York City.

Jeez man, I just want to be inconvenient and frustrating, not genocidal.
