1. How on Earth is my AC:Origins save so small? There's a ridiculous amount of content in the game and it's 129 kilobytes. Unable to find an answer though Google.

2. I just necroed a thread from 2001, then thought better of it and deleted my post. The thread was no longer on the front page (not sure how to find its location again; I assume it's in the original location). So are all threads 'unbumped' back to where they were when someone deletes the final post on the thread?

To your second question, yes, as far as I know.

How difficult is it, as a foreigner, to get an IT job in the US/Canada/EU? I'm considering a change of scenery and I want to live in another country for a change...

If you're offered a skilled, degree-carrying job, you should find it easier to settle in the UK than if you weren't. Of course, the whole "being a foreigner" thing isn't working too well in the UK right now. :(

What is your visa status? Do you have an EU passport?
Is your skill set in demand?

I work with a mix of nationalities and software engineers generally don't have much trouble getting hired and the Irish government is happy to issue visas for in demand skills.

The bureaucracy is poor though and you might have to for example queue from early in the morning for an immigration appointment.

The employer generally has to show that they advertised the job around Europe without getting acceptable candidates.

All the non EU foreigners I have worked with have become or are becoming Irish citizens.

Easier 2 years ago then today. Many foreigners have gotten IT jobs in the US. But the political climate that allows that has changed.

Is CFC going to follow EA's lead and add the phrase "white man" to the auto-censor list?
Are you just being rhetorical? Or is that a serious question?

Are honky and cracker OK ?

‘Jein’ certainly allows me to be able to pretend I've understood the question I'm supposed to answer. ;)

Heck, "degree-carrying" isn't working out so great, either. Combining the two feels like tempting the universe to spite you.

Well there goes my thread idea about packaged cracker varieties and other lite snacks at Honky-Tonk Establishments.......

You've just brought back Mulder's trip in the X-Files at the western music thingy to my mind and you might've just made my day, Erika. :)

Given that the original question was about censoring the term "white man", it is fairly clear which context 'cracker' is being used in.

In the latter case, wouldn't it depend on context? Otherwise, it's going to be impossible to discuss snacks, what people add to soup, a particular brand of cheese, Christmas party favors, and so forth.

You didn't just imply Spätzle were Bavarian, did you?!
Spätzle are tied with Bird-clocks* and having the Greeks eat their shoes for most Swabian thing ever.
Some Swabian granny is gonna whoop your hindparts at some point.
I'm sure of it. It's Karma.

*Yes. The forum does not permit name-of-bird.
Yes. It has come to this.
It's remarkable that "cracker" is not subject to autocensor override, actually.
Well, i suppose it speaks to the board's lack of diversity.
