How long is bottled water safe to store?
I reckon it depends on the question. If it is how long is bottled water safer than having no water it is probably around 100 or 1000 years. If the question is how long is bottled water safer than tap water then I would guess less than 2 years. I would be worried about estrogenic chemicals before anything biological.

Once I've taken something to PM, I prefer further comments/questions to remain via PM.

Kindly stop trying to pick a public fight over an issue which you were never involved in to begin with.
You cannot have it both ways, Valka. You cannot start a fight in public, insult people in private and then demand that people take your insults and apologise to you for your insulting them. This is exactly what you did in the IALS forum as a moderator. You picked fights with several people and eventually made the place unbearable. Look at what you did to this thread: you turned it into a wasteland for over 48 hours. Nobody posts after your barrages. CFC has the larger userbase so it can deal with your destructive behaviour, but with a, smaller, nascent place like IALS you were one of the main factors that helped destroy it. Now please, as I've said before, for your own dignity, start acting like an adult. Stop pretending that any random post that doesn't even mention you is a personal, targetted attempt at character assassination. Stop behaving as if every post was personal slander and libel. Stop your one-person boycotts of iterations of serial threads started by people you have decided to unilaterally wage war on.

Grow up and stop wrecking the forums.

Which is what I would say, if I were more polite, and yet still wanted to get into a fight about it.

Oh yes, well, Valka decided some time ago that even posts I made addressed to other people in which she was not mentioned or discussed about issues which neither concerned nor involved her were still said personal attacks against her then I can at least speak my mind in any case.

That said, I'm not willing to waste forum space on keeping up with her war effort.

alternative facts

What a load of <fiction>.

I have no idea what "war effort" you imagine I'm waging. If you're complaining that I don't like your serial thread titles, it's my right not to like them, and my right to choose not to participate. I'm not the first to do this, btw; ask Gori why he refused to participate in one of mine just because I mentioned something personal in the title and OP. At least my reason is because numerals I can't read annoy me. It's a way of tap dancing around the 'foreign language translation' rule.

I don't pick fights with people. I just don't back down when they pick them with me. As the sig says: I'm not your doormat. Been there, done that, not gonna do it anymore.

I've been a moderator and admin on numerous forums over the years, well before my time here, and after. Not once have I ever infracted or banned someone for personal reasons. Not. Once. I've gone out of my way to stand up for people I who I felt were not being treated justly, and the question of whether I liked or didn't like them was irrelevant.

Moderator Action: Ok, you've all had your say. I think we can move on to other topics now, please. If all of you have anything further to say, please do it in PM. Thank you.

In other news, how pathetic is it my determinant for dinner tonight was trying to figure out which was less work - frozen burritos or packet of ramen?

If it's not a regular occurrence, hardly pathetic at all.

The burrito's less work. And tastier.

Depends on the burritos and the ramen, I'd say.

Chop-sticks are really easy in the dishes. Hands wipe on shirts.

Both sound good.

My 9 year old asked me yesterday why fish batter (as in with chips and eaten out of paper) is golden!?

Apparently "because" isn't a good enough answer!! :nono:

Why never really ends.

Basically it is the Maillard reaction, but that is just one more step on the infinite why chain.

Why do flies always rub their front legs together like they're coming up with some evil plot for our downfall?

So they're not actually plotting the downfall of humanity? :(
