NOTW L: The Immortals [Game Thread]

"It always pains me to see a great and noble creature such as a wise and ancient Amurite Wizard to slowly go senile and lose their mana-juggling mind. What woe has befallen the great intellect that the Amurite people have sent to us in our hour of need! What cruel fate, what terrible madness has been inflicted upon he who would otherwise be more useful than a sack of unwashed potatoes!

Hark! O great King Exar, the Amurite people must be alerted that their great and noble Wizard has fallen ill, and can no longer hear the whispers of the great spirits of magic! He has become feeble with age, and is no longer of sound mind! He has forgotten where he placed his chariot keys! He has fallen, thusly, and he can not get up!

Someone call Life Alert!"

"I hope the Ljolsofar Priest is getting this all down on parchment. It's gold, Jarry, gold!"

Jarrema the Ljosalfar Priest - Killed Day Three - Immolated

"Oh.

Jarry's dead.

...Pity."

"Honorable Amurite Consul (**Stuck in Pi**), in your past, you wouldn't happen to have been a wizard or mage of some sort, as is common among your people?"

The very talkative fellow Askthepizzaguy can have the death mana, though I am unsure who should have the entropy mana yet. There seems to be enough accusations against that suspicious looking Sheaim Autolycus, so instead I will question (Backwards Logic) Bad Player who has certainly been engaged but has done nothing to rock the boat, almost as if he's trying to hide in plain sight.

I agree with the accusations levelled against Bad Player as well. He is a suspect of mine, but Autolycus must die first.

ChineseWarlord should get the Entropy mana, since it seems he can do something with it, if he chooses to show up that is

<hisssssssss>

It isssssssssss my firm belief that our great King, the Gloriousssssss Exssssssssarrrrrr, should receive both orbsssssssss of death mana.

I do not like the....how do thessssse commonersss put it.....bandwagon? againsssst Autolycussss...too easssssy. He mussssst ressssssspond. I ssssssshhhall placsssssssse my vote on SsssssssouthernKing. Why don't you wake up, my friend, and enlighten ussss asssss to your thoughtssssss?

The Entropy Mana may passssssssssss to Kennigit.

Autolycus claims to be of the Sheaim race, but he was not sent here as part of my diplomatic party. Perhaps he is an infiltrator of some kind?

As a member of the Sheaim delegation I confirm this and would need to see serious evidence from Autolycus that would explain his presence here.

Furthermore.

"According to one of our bright and ambitious young servants of Luentium who I highly recommend you in the aristocracy lower your heads down from out of the clouds and listen to, Amurite Wizards specialize in meta-magic.

Which means this kind of handling of raw magical energy is in fact their primary function, and this is apparently widely known to some of the common folk. I was not personally aware, but then again, I spend most of my time speaking to airhead bureaucrats, bored to tears.

I would suggest that we ask our Amurite Wizard, ChineseWarlord if he possesses such a talent, and if not, what sorts of magic does he possess."

I agree most strongly with this reasoning. While his presence may be questionable, sending the ChineseWarlord, the wizard this entropy mana will allow him to safely defuse it, and transform it into something far less volatile and far more useful.

Additionally, Askthepizzaguy has asked for the Darth mana. I currently trust him enough to accept this, and will support the request.

The governor of Calcaria's statement:
I have some information that ChineseWarlord is a very peaceful fellow, though he cannot apparently be coerced into talking at the moment...

Meanwhile, I have come across some possible info on the vague diplomatic situation. Neutral seems to be more positive than Cautious. Which means things seem to be slowly worsening, as now two nations are cautious...

"I think perhaps King Exar will send one of his royal medics to check ChineseWarlord for a pulse, and perhaps lift the curse that has befallen our Amurite comrade, and if not, as mentioned perhaps the Amurites will send us another, identical wizard with a different name.

Meanwhile, he is the best person to handle unusual forms of mana."

Exar looks at the adventurer... "If a subject gains a majority from all accusations cast then I will feast on them like there is no tomorrow. Even if there is only three accusations in total."

THANK YOU MY LIEGE!!!! THAT CLEARS THINGS UP MIGHTILY.

SO DEATH MANA TO EXAR IS THE CORRECT SOLUTION. IT ALSO SUGGESTS THAT DESPITE THE STUNNING SILENCE FROM KILL FIRE, THE CORRECT HEINIE TO SPANK TODAY IS THAT OF AUTOLYCUS.

The adventurer thinks that maybe he should be shouting louder.

The Prespurian Regent gasps audibly and steadies himself.

"You can shout *even louder*?!? Be still, my frail heart. My dear gregarious adventurer, how I wish for you to.... express yourself, unbridled, like a wild animal of the forests, roaring with poise and dominance to spare. I would be a rapt audience for any such spectacle, I assure you."

"Mmm, that's better. It is my hope that the picture hanging on the wall beside me now more accurately reflects the fierce and passionate visage that is my fair and noble countenance.

Lovely tattoos. Did it on a lark."

Never in a million years would I expect Mana being voted to a guy who hasn't spoken yet based on the mere possibility he can do something with it. I suspect this is a move more to bury the Entropy Mana than actually do something with. How do we know he's the best equipped to handle this Mana? Answer: We don't. It's that bizarre.

The Prespurian Regent grows red with fury. His words are biting in their viciousness.

"Do you now, mister Axeman? Curious accusation indeed.

I note that others are trying to give it to Exar, who has not asked for it, has no use for it, and won't hand it back to us when he's done not using it.

Meanwhile, I can think of no other persons at this meeting who actually posses any kind of credibility for handling exotic forms of mana.

Do you believe that the Amurite Wizard who decided to let his mind wander off completely because apparently he was that bored, is one of the Demons in our midst? Perhaps a dangerous subversive, a rebel, a Usurper?

Is he dangerous?

I think it's quite clear that he's not dangerous. And when his mind graces us with its presence once again, I think he will be able to tell us more. And if he can't, he can be so good as to put the Entropy Mana up for a vote again, whereas pawning it off onto Exar who can make no use of it is beyond foolish.

Giving it to Kennigit who no longer wants it and could never explain why he needed it so badly is also risky and foolish."

How do we know he's the best equipped to handle this Mana? Answer: We don't. It's that bizarre.

"How much do you actually know, sir Axeman?

Are you prepared to act only in instances where we know for sure?

Is this the kind of cowardice I can expect from you in the future? Because you're starting to disgust and irritate me. And I am considering voting for you shortly, whether today if possible, or tomorrow if necessary, until the words out of your mouth begin to convince me you're actually interested in the best interests of this group, and that you have a spine, and a thinking mind perched atop it.

I am appalled by the lack of imagination and especially the lack of bravery coming from this Axeman of Glevum, and for that matter, I'm none too impressed with his supposed Governor and his nonsensical reasons for voting either.

People of Glevum, is this really the best you have to offer? I am beyond displeased."

In all seriousness, I think there are enemies on the "Mana to kennigit" wagon, since Kennigit has said that he doesn't want it and has no use for it, Kennigit's role matches his claim, and ChineseWarlord can do something with it.

The only cause to support the Kennigit-manawagon is to keep the mana out of town hands.
