Zack could you tell me publically or PM me why you think Alsark is scum - you said it's not something from the thread? Now NinjaCow says that it was based on bad assumptions???
If Alsark is scum and you eliminate scum then that is good for both teams (but better for you since there are more Doviello currently anyway).
If Alsark is not scum then it is very bad for the clan but still an ok situation for you as Doviello because you become even stronger than us again.
That's why I want to be very sure before putting up a weaker fighter against the Doviello (unless you have proof of scum).
All you've got is an accusation that he is scum. You have not said anywhere else why. Making accusations can be right and they can be wrong, but if you have evidence it should be better to tell us now.
Optical and vote:Topsecret, since he is willing to to fight him and be our hero.
Hunter think this Big Green Thing Make Sense, even if it puny smelly Clan of Embers. Hunter think other people make sense. Hunter think killing the Doviello Chieftain the day he or she is elected Chieftain all the time is bad idea and sign that Clan of Embers and other guys killing us too scared of us to do anything else.
Hunter not like bad ideas, though he not always know what bad ideas is.
I'm hesitant to trust the case that Zack and several Doviello are claiming they have when they won't share evidence. Bad Player's criticism that this will just kill another Clan member and put the Doviello ahead is very reasonable. It also is a little curious that they would send DaveShack to battle again when he was already damaged yesterday.
That said, the worst outcome would be if Alsark is a traitor and doesn't die in battle. The Doviello will do this again tomorrow, and we won't have resolved whether the new Doviello Chief is being untrustworthy and purposefully misleading us. So I don't quite see the reason to just send someone else and end up with, say, Optical killing topsecret. They have this setup that they think will kill a scum, and if it works that's good, but also if there is no scum involved, at least we can make it more likely one each of the Clan and Doviello sides will die in a fair fight.
Both sides were eager for blood. The Clan had chosen a champion, Optical, and were eager to go out and shed more Doviello blood, when their leader stopped them.
"While I love bloodshed as much as the next orc, today we shall challenge the puny Doviello to a contest of champions, so that all can see that we are superior!" cried Visorslash!
With a grumble the Clan assented. Optical rode forth upon his wolf, daring the massed Doviello to send forth their champion. Many in the Doviello ranks wished dearly to avenge their fallen chieftain, but they knew they were the more cultured nation, and must therefore accept this challenge. Their champion would be the battlemaster Daveshack, who had failed the day before, but could now avenge his dishonor.
He strode forth, slightly the worse for wear and brandished his ax. The wolf rider with a scream urged its beast forward, and the beast pounced upon the battlemaster. The Doviello was surprised, and all but pinned. As the savage wolf tore at his shoulder, he released his ax, pulled out a dagger and stabbed the wolf. Then tore it off him.
Optical fell beneath his mount. Daveshack picked up his ax and bore down on him. With a terrified scream, Optical managed to get out from under the wolf, but not swiftly enough, as the ax cut into his side. Optical let out a gasp, then, drawing on reserves of strength, he wrenched the ax out of Daveshack's grasp, pulled it out of his side, and decapitated the battlemaster, before falling dead himself.
A low eerie moaning sound came from over the hills, and everyone froze. The corpse of Kennigit came shambling in, strangely alive, and picked up Optical's body and tenderly carried it away.
