2020 US Election (Part 3)

While that migration is not to be discounted, it's a drop in the bucket compared to what was already there. Atlanta has always had a large black population...one of the largest relative to the US. My point is they are voting...in a state where they've long felt irrelevant - at least in terms of national elections. It's certainly a key factor, as well as the general diverse growth in the state.

I don't want make it a habit of mine to be friends with neo nazis or bigots of any stripe or anyone who is sympathetic with them, but as I understand it things are decidedly different in eastern Europe.
I'm assuming that bolded part includes every Trump voter, for instance? I mean, these are the exact people you'd want to change.

Did I follow her instructions?

Maybe. Maybe not. No one can prove that I didn't. I plead the 5th amendment.
Did you seriously just brag that you deceived a family member who put her trust in you, in order to steal her vote ?

I linked the bio so you knew he was not jsut a twitface. Its a serious journalist with a good reputation.

Wouldn't matter to what is, funnily enough, like an American Maoist. Or Khmer Rouge?

Oh, and Biden needs to use the DOJ to hammer Facebook. Other social media has been bad, but Facebook has been the most overtly pro-Trump. Hell just subpoena their employees. Apparently, their morale just sucks, because a bunch of vaguely cultural liberal tech guys are being used to spread right-wing propaganda, just to make Zuckerberg richer. They will all squeal.

Now and then some body language experts comment on important people when they have a debate or a one one summit.
Has that ever been done with Zuckerberg

I am no expert, but I get real bad vibes about this guy

I don't have the priviledge of being able to associate with bigots without putting my own physical and mental wellbeing at risk.
That risk clearly has not stopped you from posting on CFC... because my attention was drawn by a longish post of yours that concluded with calling someone a garbage person. Maybe his posting history justifies that assessment, I don't know... but the post you responded to certainly did not.
EDIT: I do understand the frustration and stress, however, particularly at this moment.

Wow, already 99% counted in Georgia with only a 400 votes gap. Chosing between a lunatic and a mummy shouldn't be that hard.

Georgia count continues to narrow. Close but Biden continues to be on pace to take the state.

As more votes were counted early Friday in Georgia, Biden is now trailing Trump by just 463 votes, narrowing a gap of more than 18,000 at the start of Thursday.

Biden still on pace to get 306 EC votes. And he is past 4 million and heading to 5 million.

Once PA and GA are done, the next event will be North Carolina on the 12th. The Needle when it was still around had Trump favoured, but part of that was how Florida shook out, and Georgia swung back to Biden once its own results and leftover ballots came out. NC is still Trump favoured, but mail-in ballots are very Democratic, and Democrats have outperformed in a number of these latest batches in PA and GA.

By then we should also be closer to the final popular vote margin tally.

Some news ticker provided me with a summary of this election:

So, is it done yet?

Yes, Biden is President, and there will be 2 runoffs for all the marbles. PA is also only a matter of time.

In any other year, they likely would have called it for Biden. Since FOX and AP already have called AZ, any non-Nevada state called means Biden wins. But no one seems to want to be first, because it means incurring the Trump rage.

Basically, come back on 12th of Nov for NC. Alaska also has a similar delay before we get mail-ins (though it is much more Pro-Trump) Until then, we just have celebrating predicted milestones and various hot takes. And Trump raging out.

Anyway, in the event that Democrats do take a 50-50 Senate, there is a viable governing. It will be tight as hell, and on the knife-edge, with Republicans trying every vote to split someone off. But I think Democrats could on party lines, get HR1, a $15 minimum wage, and a decent but not great stimulus. Maybe legal weed nationwide. That would be enough victories to use to campaign on for 2022.

Biden could starting now, try and get a few safe blue, conservative/institutionalists out of the Senate. Like Feinstein. Manchin is enough trouble, no need to add issues from a safe area.

If they miss them, however, the Senate is just going to suck, and Biden is going to spend most of his first year just fighting to get most cabinet positions in place, and come to 2022 with little more than 'I kept the lights on'.

Not strictly official yet though jumping the gun.

There's gonna be recounts etc.

Nah. Let Trump and his ilk suffer a little longer. The more time they waste wailing and pounding their fists about democracy the less time they'll have to ruin the nation before Biden's inauguration.

He's not going anywhere until then anyway. Might as well enjoy it.
