NIGHT ONE
The Sun Lowered in the night sky and its last rays disappeared as it sunk behind the distant hills. Exar was sitting on his small throne listening carefully to his Governors share their thoughts on the situation at hand. Their views different but were equally with some merit. He raised up his hand to silence them and stoodup. Raising his voice loud, he spoke. “Gentelman, please be seated for dinner.” His guests have gathered back into the reception hall which was the only room large enough to accommodate them all. The servants had also brought in tables in preparation for the evening meal and there was a shuffle as the noble guests found their seats while the guardsmen and servants grumble at having to wait for their own supper. Exar took his seat at the head table. Joining him was his Governors as well as the Durnovarian Adjudicator and the Prespurian Lord.
Exar passed the Raw Mana to the Visorslash, the Prespurian Lord, and told him “Use it wisely, sometimes what is done cannot be undone.” He then passed the Law Mana to Frozen in Ice, the Durnovarian Adjudicator. “Sita used this Mana to always seek the truth. I hold no lower expectation of you.” The Adjudicator bowed in thanks. “Your wish is my command, Sire.” Exar then took a look that the Death Mana in his hands. He was not disappointed but did desire a clear champion. He glanced at the Governor of Durnovaria and thought to himself that perhaps he should have been more supportive. But had he publically declared where his support lay, the others would follow like sheep.
Exar surveyed his seated guests as the food arrived. One thing he was disappointed on was that there had been little suspicions cast. He would have liked to follow up on a few things himself if there had been anything said of merit. Then again, he was still injured and rest is what need for now. He stood once more. “Enjoy your meal, I have a feeling with night will be more than eventful.”
