Anyways, I figured I'd get back into this unit making thing, so here's a preview of a dwarf pikeman
here's what I based the model on -
And attached is the preview of the model, note the smooth shadows...I'm so proud of myself
I gave him a halberd instead of a plain old boring pike because I thought it looks more dwarvish
And, as always, comments and suggestions are appreciated.

The only thing I'd suggest is maybe making him just a bit shorter since he's a dwarf. But then again, you'd risk not being able to see as much of the detail. Either way, I look forward to seeing the complete version of this baby in the Unit Graphics forum.

I thought the Anglo-Saxon Spearman was next? Then the Spanish Spearman, and and and and....
Well, everyone who's been here a while knows I'm allergic to horned helmets... 
So, IMO, skip the horns, or at least make them smaller.
I think that the civ colour would be better if it was a bit darker.
Give him some trousers, for Bob's sake, this is the 21th century, after all! These should probably be civ coloured.
The shadow looks a bit large, why would a stick give a shadow one foot wide? There is something like too much candy.
