Fallout mod.

This boys and girls, is why you DON'T want to stick your head into a radscorpion nest without LOTS of backup, you never know if a Deathclaw will show up pissed off and hungry. :devil:

While watching the Enclave AI's turn in debug mode I noticed the AI send its only Early Powered Armor into this nest of Radscorpions. Now I knew what was there, so I had a good show as this PRICELESS unit, at the beginning of the mod, almost died. But the Powered Armor's disengage ability allowed it to run away just before he died and became Claw chow. :D

The unit I'm most interested in is of course the Mantis. And I've already got a Mantis model (and posable too!). Perhaps I'll do it.. since it can be used in my Insects Mod, in this one and I'm sure Amesjustin's Modzilla could find a place for it too. No promise but maybe I'll do it.

I agree with supa on this.I never played fallout before, but from the screenies in the past few posts I really like the way this mod looks.I love what you've done with the terrain graphics they look great. I will definitely play this when it comes out, keep up the great work guys.....:goodjob:

I am starting to look at the Tech Tree and will post details some time later when things have developed in that area.
 
When roaded, irrigated or mined ... they disappear and reveal what terrain is below.

:hmm: Personally I like the idea of having some sort of ruins become a terrain type with it's own set of bonuses ... although I don't think this is possible due to the graphic overlap in the tiles and it may not look as good as they are now.
 
Perhaps you can make them landmark mountains or snowcapped mountains. Or are they in use already?
 
Sorry don't know the anwser to that ...

I do know that there are a number of terrain tiles which have not been converted ... and therefore there are spots open for additional 'terrain' types.
 
can i offer myself up to do a little bit around the mod? i can playtest, i can make some units (well, some units. mostly mechs but i can try) and i can do graphics. if you dont need me then ok, but i'm here if you do.

@Quinzy, sorry for the bad link, but this one DOES work, I assure you. :D

All you have to do is just follow the link, register and begin commenting and adding input. The reason for this requirement is that I have already had 24 people say they were going to help, then bailed after DLing the mod.:mad:

So I implemented this requirement to show me that you are willing to stick around and contribute. Hell, fe3333au has been commenting since I began this project two years ago, and his contributions so far since joining have been INVALUABLE. So I think it is a good policy.:D

I don'T know if it fits in here but I always had problems with the story. Wasn't fallout all about a war for oil cause there was nothing left than one last source (at least something like this) and then in fot I was able to run around with cars, apcs and tanks. fallout 2 there were at least fusion cells for your highwayman as only car... (so there is a somehow logic explaination bot fot was strange)
So here could also be the question what will be used in your mod as fuel? will oil be a resource or is it just something like: they run their vehicles with biogas from rapes?
 
Samez, good question. The 'fuel' we are going with is called Methanol. It is made from a resource called Mutated Corn.:D That or steam driven vehicles that use Coal for its energy requirements.

One of the buildings in the mod is called a Methanol Cracking Plant, and it will spit out a Highwayman every 25 turns or so. It will be a small wonder.;)
