March 2006 Unit makers challenge

Welcome to the second monthly Unit Makers Challenge!

With the experience of the previous UMC I changed the rules a bit, so any unit can participate. And the deadline has been moved to 1 month from now. 2 months was way too long in my opinion...

So here are the rules:

1. Everyone may enter a unit, as long as:

• The submitter is the creator of the unit
• The unit is completely new, not posted before either on this website, nor on any other. The units’ 3D model does not have to be new, though.
• The unit is not directly converted from another game.
• The new unit must be available for download for the civ community.
• Cut ‘n pasters can also join.

2. There is no theme in this competition. Any unit can participate!

3. The unit maker can choose any unit he wants. For inspiration and ideas the first page of the call thread of that month may contain some request by other members.

4. A link to the unit together with a preview needs to be posted in this thread MARCH 31 2006. After that a jury thread will be launched in which the winner will be decided by a 1 week poll.

5. This is supposed to be a friendly competition between gentlemen (m/f). Please stay friendly to each other at all times...

I'm not TLC, but I like it. When "it" pulls the handle a big bolt of energy needs to jump out.

The weapon animation is decidedly lame, but otherwise it's looking good.

Edit: No complaint about the weapon if it's a fortifiy: I thought it was meant to be an attack.

Once this one is finished, I'll start pestering you about making similar ones with different weapons and/or clothes.
