Insects MOD (Discussion & unit preview)

Why do the English speaking constantly use slang instead of nigh-standard language?
Where did you get those "bugs" indtead of insects?

Because they are a pain, a bother, and they "bug" you. Honestly, I've never used the term insect that I can remember. Normally when speaking of a specific insect I use the name, but when in doubt it's "Honey, what kind of bug is that?"!! ;)

Onza: Bugs are actualy the techical term for members of the Insect order Hemiptera, which look sort of like beatles, but only half of the outer wing is hard (hence the scientific name), and includes such insects as Wheel Bugs, Assassin Bugs, Boxelder Bugs, and the all-time favorites: the Stink Bugs.

The term came to be applied to all insects because it's somewhat easier to say, and more informal. (well, that and the True Bugs are very common, almost as ubiquitous as beatles).

I hate boxelder bugs. They are always commiting suicide by trapping themselves between the screen and the window. There's got to be at least 200 dead in my windowsill at my old house.

Seems like a good idea to me...I really want to play as the army ants.

This mod is a great idea btw. New and original.

Assassin bugs!? :crazyeye:

Yes, they're Big Bugs (about 2 in long) that prey on other insects... They're bodies kind of resemble a dried leaf, and they inject venom into their victims (including unwitting humans who accidentally bump into them), and suck the juices outta the bugs they kill....

Gross Gross Gross Giant Bugs Gross Eww Ewww Eww Ewww. The units are spectacular but icky..! Groossss! YUCK! Ewwww! Ewww Ewww Eww Ewww!

I don't like bugs up close.

Come on, you can't be so entomophobiac. Do you live in a closed metal box ? :p

I took care of the Bee this morning.

The bee is looking very good, tho i would make the yellow a bit more orangy, to distiguish it from the wasps that i hope will be made in the near future... but thats me being picky, and the fact that most common bees i see near me aren't as yellow as wasps. :p
